A Floater.
Floaters are creatures only found in Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land. They are statue-like beings that Wario can hitch a ride on. He can control the direction in which they go by punching the arrow on their head. These floating creatures appeared in only one level of the game but were featured in the game's manual. If Wario fell off the creature, he would perish into an abyss and lose a life.
