Re: Need Help

Thank you for letting me know. I'll do the redirects. Also, for your e-mail problem: Looks at the top right corner of the page and go to my preferences. When the page loads, look for a part on that page that says Email. Type in your new email address, click save preferences, and a new confirmation will be sent to the new email address you entered. I hope that helped! Super Mario Bros. (talk)

I just saw your message on MeritC's talk page. I'm glad I was able to help! Super Mario Bros. (talk)

RE: The reverted edits

Because the said quote from Cream in M.S.O.W.G. really isn't suitable for said article here, sadly. It's just a few words, which disqualifies it from using it as a quote here on the Wiki. Sorry. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page

Actually, the Quote for Espio is Success and he doesn't even say that in the Wii version! I think it's very relevant to the fact (as quoted from the article) She, along with Toad, mainly handles calling out fouls and starting races in the Athletics events. See, this section shows that she calls out fouls and Oh, Sorry is what she says as she raises the red flag (that or Oh, Too Bad)--Marioguy1 My talk page (haha, no link for you ) 01:27, 4 July 2009 (EDT)

RE: Section 7

What do you mean? If I'm correct, you are asking if we should move the information? If so, I think we should leave it the way it is, it belongs to SSBB. If I'm not correct, here is the link to my talk page. Responded on Super Mario Bros. talk page

I would say the format that the Mario page is correct, as the Yoshi page is actually a candidate for unfeaturing. Super Mario Bros. (talk)

Re: Hey

What you showed me is still too spacious. However, I do like what you're getting at, so I whipped up another version, based on {{Yoshi's Island DS}}. I got rid of the headers that only applied to one sport to save on space, and made it much "fancier"/condensed:

I can't figure out how to get "Aquatics" unbolded, so the version I used to the actual template bolds them all. I credited you with the idea for reorganizing the Summer sports. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me, and keep up the good work! - Walkazo 18:37, 4 July 2009 (EDT)

Responded on Walkazo's Talk Page
Thanks for fixing the bolding problem. I didn't want to make the change you did, since I felt the subheaders were too long otherwise, but looking at it now, I think exchanging the thin subheader column for unbolded text was the better choice. Thanks again! - Walkazo 02:20, 6 July 2009 (EDT)

Princess Peach

Do you think that the article is good enough for FA? Somebody nominated the article for FA status, and I'm not sure, I think it looks good, but I'd like your opinion. Super Mario Bros. (talk)

Responded on Super Mario Bros.'s Talk Page

Ok, in that case, work will be done to the headers. I don't know, do you want me to do them? Or do you want to do them yourself? I don't think we should work on it at the same time, we might get edit conflicts, which are very annoying. Super Mario Bros. (talk)
Responded on Super Mario Bros.'s Talk Page
Ok, I'll do it then. Thank you for the suggestions/help. Super Mario Bros. (talk)
Responded on Super Mario Bros.'s Talk Page
Ok, I'm finished with what I can do tonight. Perhaps I'll be able to think of a few more tomorrow. Super Mario Bros. (talk)
Responded on Super Mario Bros.'s Talk Page
Just to let you know, I mostly deleted some of the headers. The ones I deleted were pointless subsections that were the only ones there (I.E. The Super Mario RPG had Peachy Princess under it, I removed it because it was the only subdivision under it}. Also, about the user-template, you do not have to have those tags added, all you need to do is type this ~~~~~ next to {{User|User Name Here}} and it comes out with the date and time. Super Mario Bros. (talk) 01:09, 6 July 2009 (EDT)
Responded on Super Mario Bros.'s Talk Page
True, actually, that's a good idea. Anyway, it appears the Princess Peach FA nomination got deleted due to the nominator not signing that they nominated it. Super Mario Bros. (talk) 01:17, 6 July 2009 (EDT)
Responded on Super Mario Bros.'s Talk Page
You go here and type in the name of the page. After that, you go to the page (Princess Peach, I presume) and edit it. At the top of the page you add {{FASTAT}} Super Mario Bros. (talk) 01:24, 6 July 2009 (EDT)

ok, but then I need to go to bed. Super Mario Bros. (talk) 01:29, 6 July 2009 (EDT)

Goodnight Marioguy1 (talk)

Goodnight to you too. BTW, I think you covered everything in your nomination. Super Mario Bros. (talk) 01:34, 6 July 2009 (EDT)
I'm so proud Marioguy1 (talk)

RE: My Decisions

  1. The character-infobox is not needed on some characters that appear in the super smash bros series. In fact, users should use the appropiate infobox template for each article, avoiding many confusions and abuses for certain templates.
  2. If the user who didn't sign the page for featuring an article means he or she won't explain about her reasons for nominating it, thus the nomination was abandoned.
  3. I'll see your reasons on these templates and I'll try to reply you as soon I finish.

Re: Question

I can't make the Proposal for you, but I can tell you how. The easiest way is to copy an existing Proposal (that's how I learned to do it), though the basic format is:

===Proposal Name===
Proposal text goes here - use proper grammar and spelling if you wanna make a good impression.

'''Proposer:''' {{User|Your Name}}
'''Deadline:''' Deadline - one week from the proposal date; check the chart at the top of the Proposals page for specifics.

====Support====

====Oppose====

====Comments====

All that coding should give you something that looks just like the current proposals.

Next you have to choose a section; my guess is that an FA Proposal would go under "Miscellaneous", so simply add it below the comments on the current Censorship Proposal, and above the special coding at the very bottom of the page (you'll know it when you see it). For future reference, if you're adding a Proposal to a section with no other proposals, simply replace the "None at the moment." message with your Proposal. It can be scary making your first Proposal (I know I was nervous), but as long as you make sure you have a strong argument, you should be okay. There may be a possibility that there was already a "no-sig on FA nomination pages" Proposal, but even if there was, it hasn't been enacted and if anything, bringing it up again would do the Wiki a service. I hope this was helpful, and good luck on your Proposal! - Walkazo 02:21, 8 July 2009 (EDT)

Could you...

Please remove the point about SMB on your proposal? I'm pretty sure that he did support and that he is wondering what you meant by too much work. Super Mario Bros. (talk) 20:59, 8 July 2009 (EDT)

Sorry, I thought because of your complaints about how you did so much work on archiving polls... Marioguy1 (talk)
I don't mind doing work around here. That is one of the main reasons I joined the wiki. I only mentioned that stuff about work is because, I made a proposal myself. I am pretty sure that my proposal is what caused so many proposals: It suggested we reorganize the poll selection page by changing signatures to other allowed coding, separating the polls into the archives, etc. A lot of the polls that were recently created tried to get the archives deleted and a whole bunch of other stuff that would have made my original proposal virtually worthless. I brought up the amount of work that was done because a lot of those proposals were trying to basically make all of that work useless. So, don't worry, it's okay. Super Mario Bros. (talk) 21:20, 8 July 2009 (EDT)
Fine, I edited it out Marioguy1 (talk)

Hey

Just so you know, you can use the templates {{reminder}} {{warning}} and {{lastwarn}} to quickly tell a user that they've broken a rule. - 2257(Talk) 02:18, 9 July 2009 (EDT)

You can? BTW, is there always an admin on duty? Marioguy1 (talk)

Yes you can. No, there's not always an admin on duty. Although it would be cool if we could manage that... - 2257(Talk) 02:24, 9 July 2009 (EDT)

Oh, ya, you could coordinate according to timezones... Anyhow, can you vote on my proposal?--Marioguy1 My talk page (haha, no link for you ) 02:57, 9 July 2009 (EDT)

Re: Thanks

No problem - it's my job to help people, and Proposal stuff is right up my alley. I voted on your proposal, and answered your Welcome template question. As for moving pages, I'm pretty sure you can't do that because you haven't been a member of the Super Mario Wiki for a month yet. Some functions are restricted to prevent vandalism: new users can't move pages or edit certain articles, such as Mario (a prime target for Trolls). Fortunately, you're nearly a month "old" by this point in time, so you should be able to move pages soon. - Walkazo 21:19, 9 July 2009 (EDT)

Yay!! Marioguy1 (talk)

Reminder

Please stop editing other user's comments on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Re:Move

He's called "F.L.U.D.D." (or "FLUDD" - I'm pretty sure Nintendo's done it done both ways) more than "Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device", so just like we have Bowser instead of "King Bowser Koopa", leaving it as F.L.U.D.D. should be fine. - Walkazo 02:19, 12 July 2009 (EDT)

Signatures

No need to send anyone bad messages. The format [[User:XYZ|XYZ]] is absolutely fine, this is no sig. Also, Toadboy911 didn't even use any links, so he didn't violate the rule either. Time Questions 16:58, 13 July 2009 (EDT)

He didn't? Still, I don't send rude messages unless it affects me, then I get angry and mean. Marioguy1 (talk)

Re: Proposals

It's up to the user to create their own userpage, 3dejong (talk) was the one who originated this fake message, and yet, people in the wiki who stayed for a while have gotten used to it. To the users who visited the userpages, it's up to them to find out its surroundings, if they suspect a user pulling a joke, they should have found out by now. A userpage is a page where a user talks about himself, and his stuff, as long as you don't trash your own page, annoy the users very repeatedly, or even suck out the server energy very heavily. Let's just say it's a tradition, just like the Cheese Craze, but you haven't heard of it. ;o So about the log-out joke, you should ask the user to please stop pulling off the joke, or you can ask other users if they are annoyed by the pranks too much. ;o RAP.pngRAP... How are you doing today? :o

But the log out joke forces you to log in again, I'm not saying ban the whole joke, just tell them not to log people out with it (I already have two votes on my side and I haven't even proposed it!) Marioguy1 (talk)

Thanks!

Proposals

When voting on proposals, please make sure to add a reason. Currently, your votes on the proposals "The Subspace Emissary", "Amend No-Signature Policy", and "Upcoming Tournaments" have no valid reasons, so please add some. Elsewise I have to remove them. Thanks. Time Questions 07:04, 16 July 2009 (EDT)

Come on, please don't be immature. I have never yelled at you, neither have I tried. All I'm trying to do is to explain you our rules, so please don't feel offended by it. "I don't like being yelled at" is no valid reason for supporting/opposing a proposal. You actually have to explain why you think that the proposed rule would be a change for the better (or for the worse, respectively). What would be the advantage of not allowing "S.W.A.S."? This is what you need to explain when voting. Same for the Subspace Emissary proposal: "Why wouldn't I support it?" is no valid reason. Look at the top of the Proposals page: there it says that "Any user can support or oppose, but must have a strong reason for doing so, not, e.g., 'I like this idea!'". Why do you think splitting the Brawl article would be a good idea? Please explain this with your vote. Thanks! Time Questions 10:14, 17 July 2009 (EDT)
Sorry, if you haven't already, please delete my votes. I'm going to make up totally new ones with actual reasons. Marioguy1 (talk)

Well, Hello

You probably already know me, but I am Baby Mario Bloops, I nice to meet you! I lately been seeing you on the Wiki, so I decided to drop by and say hi. So, I will see you later somewhere on the Wiki, Bye! Baby Mario Bloops 13:52, 19 July 2009 (EDT)

I'm adding a new section to my Marioguy1 policy, I can correct grammar on my page because this is annoying. Anyhow, thanks BMB! I really like your ideas on the new games and I've read every single one so far. This talking to users thing could really cheer them up! I think you are being a large help to the wiki. Archiving

Looks like you're asking something that is already in use around the wiki. You can archive your talk pages in the way the Main page's discussion is archive. For an easy way, you can "move" your talk page to User talk:Marioguy1/Archive 1 and then clicking on the redirect of your talk page to remove the link "User talk:Marioguy1/Archive 1" to use again your talk page clear. ¢oincollctor rsitem209.png You can make a subpage for your talk archives and set it on your talk page like mine.
