Puzzling Pipe Maze is the nineteenth e-Reader level in Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3's World-e. This card was released in Series 2 in Japan. Its official difficulty rating is ★★★☆☆. It was initially unreleased outside Japan, but it eventually first became available internationally with the Wii U Virtual Console release of the game in 2016. The level contains two Advance Coins and an e-Coin. The key art featured Roy Koopa.
Layout
The level is a pipe maze set in a desert environment, reminiscent to World 7-9 of the original game. It starts on several rock platforms, before moving into the maze itself. The only enemies inside the portion of the maze are Firesnakes. After reaching the exterior of the maze, the player must simply run to the goal.
Down a pipe in the maze, there is an area with Lil Sparkies and a Hothead, as well as Rock Blocks. If the player begins the level without a power-up, a Super Leaf must be obtained from this room within a Hard Block before they can progress. On the right side of the room, there is a Mega ? Block with a Hammer Suit inside. By using the suit, the player can destroy the Rock Blocks and access the rest of the level.
Advance Coins/e-Coin
- By approaching where the end of the level would be at the beginning of the maze, the Advance Coin is below the Firesnake.
- Toward the exit of the maze, there is an area behind an unbreakable block that has the Advance Coin; however, it can only be obtained by jumping through a hole near a ledge.
- e-Coin: After obtaining the Hammer Suit, the player must head over to a nearby door, the path to which being guarded by four Brick Blocks. Within the vicinity of the door are four White Blocks that can provide access to the door. Inside the room is the e-Coin.
