Simmering Lava Lake, or World Castle-7, is the seventh course in the seventh world of Super Mario 3D World and its Nintendo Switch port Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, World Castle. It becomes accessible by clearing either Trick Trap Tower or Rammerhead Reef, and its completion unlocks Bowser's Lava Lake Keep.
Layout
This level starts on a platform where lava rises and sinks. After navigating past some Parabones and Splorches, the player comes upon a Clear Pipe which transports them to an area with the Checkpoint Flag. This area houses some Lava Geysers, more of the aforementioned enemies, and a Clear Pipe at the end. The clear pipe brings the player to an area with a few Charvaarghs and the Goal Pole.
Green Stars
- Green Star 1: The first Green Star is near the first Splorch area, floating high above lava, and can be reached with a Boomerang from the Boomerang Flower. It can also be obtained as Tanooki Mario.
- Green Star 2: The player has to activate the Green Star Ring and collect all eight Green Coins to reveal the Green Star.
- Green Star 3: After the stamp, the player must head south from the large gray square platform to find the third Green Star.
Stamp
- After the checkpoint, the stamp is underneath the gated floor. It can only be collected when the lava has sunken. The stamp is a Boomerang Flower.
