Lit Potato is a Team minigame appearing in Super Mario Party. Its name and concept are derived from the game hot potato.

Gameplay

The players are gathered in a circle, holding Bob-ombs. The teams' goal is to pass the Bob-ombs clockwise to ensure that players from opposing teams hold Bob-ombs. There are five rounds: The first round has six Bob-ombs, the second has four, the third has three, and the fourth and fifth (if necessary) have only one. If any team member is blown up by a Bob-omb, they are out and can cheer the other players on from the sidelines. The last team standing wins. In the four-player version, there are only three rounds instead of five: The first round has three Bob-ombs, and the second and third/final round have two. Should a game go further than that, only one Bob-omb is used.

Controls

  • Single Joy-Con Right Button – Pass Bob-omb

In-game text

  • Don't get caught with a Bob-omb!
  • Pass the Bob-ombs around clockwise.
  • You can only hold one at a time!
