Hello, Alice875. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: or Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Hello, Alice875. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:
When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use character-artwork. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |

Please remember to fill in the summary and categorise rather than removing everything in the summary box entirely. At the very least, the files should have
in the summary; the "aboutfile" part can be removed though it's preferred that it stays, with a source and description added, especially for images like these where users would want to know where they're from and if they're genuine. Mario JC 07:54, November 25, 2022 (EST)
Category links should be in square brackets, not curly. Mario JC 20:47, January 27, 2023 (EST)
RE: Mario movie poster
I'm aware of the artwork itself being official (at least the part being shown in those screens); it's this image specifically that's been edited, with the text removed, so it's not allowed on the wiki. Mario JC 05:05, January 10, 2023 (EST)
