Unfortunately your word can not be taken as fact unless you can prove that you are who you say you are since people can claim to be anything on the internet (we once had a user claim to be a famous sprite comic maker which forced the real sprite comic maker to come on and say that the other guy was an impostor) Raven Effect (talk)

Perhaps it would be best if you talked to one of the admins here, like Walkazo or Glowsquid. GreenDisaster 15:11, 18 July 2012 (EDT)
Look at the side boxes under community next to wiki chat there is one that says Forum go to there. Raven Effect (talk)

Absolutely understandable. Could be tricky to prove since I haven't been there for almost 20 years! I'll start with contacting Walkazo. Thanks! Dayvvbrooks (talk)

I've seen a situation like this before, actually: a singer on YouTube posted on a fan-upload of one of her songs and no one believed it was her until she updated her Facebook page and showed them up. Is there any other website you're a member of that already mentions your employment with Nintendo that you could update? That'd be the easiest way to prove it. If not, I'm still inclined to believe you are who you say you are; it would be a shame to have to throw out perfectly good info just because we're getting it first-hand rather than citing a third-party website. - Walkazo 15:34, 18 July 2012 (EDT)
If you provided your e-mail when signing up (or go back and add it now by hitting the "preferences" link on the top-right hand side of the screen), you can send e-mails through the wiki. If/once you have your e-mail registered, go to my talk page and look at the sidebar (top left). In the "toolbox" section, there is a link saying "E-mail this user" - click that to e-mail me through the wiki. Unfortunately, it only allows for text messages (including links), but no attachments; if the proof is an attachment, I can e-mail back the traditional way and you can respond to that (sorry for the circular route, but I'd rather not post my e-mail publicly). - Walkazo 16:20, 18 July 2012 (EDT)

Thanks Walkazo! Waiting for e-mail confirmation. Dayvvbrooks (talk)

Hmm, that's frustrating. You could try to manually get a confirmation sent by clicking the button on Special:ConfirmEmail, but aside from that, I'm not sure what else can be done. I looked at Wikipedia's info, but aside from accidentally getting the address wrong or it being blocked as spam, the only issues seem a bit technical (and a hassle to fix). You could ask the wiki's founder Porplemontage if he knows what the problem might be, or you could simply e-mail the general staff account (which we direct block inquiries to), <mwikisysops@gmail.com>, however that's accessible by the entire staff (and all retirees, if they so choose), so I'm not sure if that'd be an ideal solution for you... If we can't figure this out, we'll just take you for your word, but it'd be ideal if we had concrete confirmation in case any skeptics try to question the info down the road (as has happened before). I really appreciate that you care enough to keep trying to confirm who you are, by the way: it's pretty awesome that someone who actually worked on the games would want to help out a fanmade wiki, and I feel bad about asking you to jump through all these hoops in order to do so. Hopefully it'll all be sorted out soon. - Walkazo 12:29, 19 July 2012 (EDT)

Sent an email to mwikisysops@gmail.com regarding not receiving verification email. We'll get there. Dayvvbrooks (talk)

I saw it. The problem might be on your end: I see your domain name isn't something run-of-the-mill like "gmail", so maybe your webmail service has something funky going on with it, which Wikipedia did warn about on its help page (the fact that the website itself has godaddy parked on it isn't comforting, for one thing). If you have another email, it might be a good idea using that, however now that I've got your email we can bypass the wiki step and I can just email you directly, and you can simply respond to that. - Walkazo 18:28, 19 July 2012 (EDT)
As I said in my email response, thanks so much for sending the verification. I re-added the fact that Larry Mullen Jr. is Larry Koopa's namesake, and for good measure, I added references to both it and the Reznor page stating that the info came straight from the horse's mouth (of course, feel free to rewrite the citations if you want). Thanks again for helping us out! - Walkazo 19:19, 20 July 2012 (EDT)

Hey

I just wanted to say thanks for joining our wiki, we're very happy to have you here, as a matter of fact, I think you're the first ever (former) employee to join. I think that's really cool, and I hope you can expand on the knowledge that we have here on the wiki. If you ever need anything, just gimme a shout! Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk?
