I think this page and Frog Koopa should be merged. Jdrawer 13:24, 13 March 2012 (EDT)

I recommend that you create a proposal if you want these two pages merged.--File:Yoshidarkblue.pngNew Super YoshiArtwork of Red Yoshi in Yoshi Touch & Go 13:50, 13 March 2012 (EDT)

Merge Frog Mario with Frog Koopa

Template:SettledTPP Template:ProposalOutcome If you take a look at Fire Mario, for example, is there a different article that says, "Fire Peach" or "Fire Luigi"? No, because they are all in the SAME suit. I say we should merge Frog Mario with Frog Koopa, because Frog Koopa is like Frog Mario, as is Fire Mario to "Fire Luigi".

Oppose

  1. Koopakoolklub (talk) This article talks about the character Mario and his uses of the frog suit. Frog Koopa is about the character and his uses of the frog suit. I think there aren't seperate articles for Fire Peach or Fire Luigi because they all use it for the same thing. King Koopa uses it in a slightly different way. And that is why I don't think they should be merged.
  2. Mario (talk) I think the method for obtaining it is different than the usual method, since it's activated by a pendant rather than a suit. It also can be stacked with other powerups, making it more distinct than the normal powerup (although Bowser in Super Mario 3D World kind of has his abilities stacked as well). That being said, I think Fire Koopa, Raccoon Koopa, and Frog Koopa should be merged into one article simply for convenience. They are all dependent on the pendant (no pun intended) and they appear only once (Super Koopa), not being independent powerups. No one is bound to search for Fire Koopa without knowing about the pendant and Raccoon Koopa and Frog Koopa.
  3. Yoshi876 (talk) Per both.
  4. Baby Luigi (talk) Per all
  5. Vommack (talk) Per all.

What are you going to do about Raccoon Koopa and Fire Koopa? BabyLuigiFire.pngRay Trace(T|C) 16:16, 2 May 2014 (EDT)

I don't know. I might propose to merge them.

@Koopakoolklub what differences are there? I read the Frog Koopa article and it had, increased swimming which is something that happens in the game, jump long distances which happened in game. Only difference is the ability to breath underwater, but seeing as the games and the anime are different things I don't see why that would count against a merge. Yoshi876 (talk)

The main difference I see is that Frog Koopa is part of a form that comes from the Power Pendant and is able to change forms at will....until the Power Pendant breaks of course BabyLuigiFire.pngRay Trace(T|C) 17:08, 2 May 2014 (EDT)
And his strength is increased. Which does not happen to the players in Frog Suits. Bowser Jr., in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.Triple K, Skye 17:20, 2 May 2014 (EDT)
So what about the Raccoon or Cat-enhanced enemies of Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World, respectively? LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:00, 7 May 2014 (EDT)
They're their own enemies, not really forms of another character, methinks. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 21:03, 7 May 2014 (EDT)

Can someone provide proof?

I'm a little confused. Articles say that Big Bertha can eat Mario if he swims too close to her, unless he's in a Frog Suit. However, I try to replicate the claim, and it never works. Can someone provide video proof that Big Bertha will eat Mario without the Frog Suit? --SMWFan (talk) 13:10, 1 March 2018 (EST).

I'm confused too. I don't think Big Berthas would discriminate eating Mario regardless if he's in a Frog Suit or not. BabyLuigiFire.pngRay Trace(T|C) 13:14, 1 March 2018 (EST)
True. But, my point is, I don't see them eating Mario in Super Mario Bros. 3. I tried, and it doesn't work. If someone has evidence that it does happen, I'm interested in seeing that.
