Template:Minigame-infobox Awful Tower is a 4-player minigame that is found during the events of the Nintendo 64 game, Mario Party 3. Its name is a pun on the Eiffel Tower. Upward Mobility, from Mario Party 9, is very similar to this minigame.

Introduction

The minigame takes place around a rather tall block-like tower with stylized window covers. The background consists of a rainbow above the various trees at the bottom. Many of the colored blocks that up and down repeatedly seemingly form a path to reach to the top of the tower. The camera shows the whole tower, from top to bottom, and targets the player standing on the ground next to their individual tower as it stops. The minigame then begins.

Gameplay

The players' objective during the minigame is to climb the tower by utilizing the colored blocks that move up and down repeatedly by jumping. Players will have to time their jumping right in order to reach the next colored block.

To make the minigame more interesting, Coins are located in certain places that the player has the option to risk getting these pieces. Additionally, at certain points during the tower climb, a Hammer Bro riding on the cloud will drop by and attempt to throw their Hammers at the individual players in order to slow them down. If a player gets hit by one of the hammers, the player will be stunned and fall down somewhere in the middle of the tower.

The first player who reaches the last colored block will jump onto the Fwoosh that awaited at the end of the tower, thus winning the minigame. Players who collected extra Coins that are scattered around the minigame will keep them.
