Owen's Game Tips

A bunch of tips for various Mario games. There are 69 tips in all, more will be added when I think of more and when I have spare time.

This section is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.

Tip No. 1: Use Easy Mode if you're having trouble

If you are having trouble in a certain section in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, simply turn on Easy Mode at any time in the Settings on the menu screen. Easy Mode makes each enemy weaker in terms of power and defense, making them easier to beat. Not to mention, all of your Bros. Attacks and Trio Attacks slow time down or extend the time needed to try to dish out as much damage as possible, however they cost 1 BP more than usual.

Tip No. 2: Practice the minigames you struggle at

Some minigames featured in the Mario Party games can be frustrating than others. Practicing the ones you struggle at a lot in Free Play can hopefully make you an expert at that game, provided it isn't one involving luck, like Fruit or Foe or Haunted Hallways. And this definitely doesn't apply against human players.

Tip No. 3: Master the art of puzzle games to clear your adventure

Puzzle games are there to test your skills and offer a brain-bending challenge. Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition is no different. It's pretty challenging, not only to move the Orbs around, but also choosing the right teammates and levelling up enough to stand a chance on those later levels. The correct Skills, Leader, Helper or Awoken Skills can make the difference between victory and defeat. Practice with the demo or on one of the early stages in the final game and you can hone your skills later in the game.

Tip No. 4: Don't waste all of your stickers or cards in battle

Have you entered a battle in either Paper Mario: Sticker Star or Paper Mario: Colour Splash and ran out of stickers or cards, leaving you unable to fight? Well, the solution is don't waste them all up so soon! Save enough stickers in your album and enough cards in your deck for the right enemy and/or boss. Try to balance out your collection with enough healing items, offensive attacks and defensive options so you can try to stand a chance. And don't forget that Thing you need against a tough boss!
