I've been wondering, what if an enemy or character does not have an official name, like these "Mecha-Kritters" whose real name is completely unknown as the name has not been revealed in the manual, the game or the guidebook. -- Sir Grodus

It should still be considered conjectural considering it's probably not the "real" name. Monty Mole (Talk·Contribs) 18:03, 21 October 2006 (EDT)

What if...

What if Mecha-Kritters are the same species as Robo-Kritters? Paper Jorge ( Need to tell me something? Go to my talk page.·Contributions·) 18:46, 21 October 2006 (EDT)

They might be, I dunno though I've never seen Robo-Kritter. -- Sir Grodus

Robo-Kritters look exactly like those! Paper Jorge ( Need to tell me something? Go to my talk page.·Contributions·) 19:01, 21 October 2006 (EDT)

Well I suppose a mention in the articles is in order if they do look so much alike. -- Sir Grodus

Un-Merge

I think maybe the Mecha-Kritter and Robo-Kritter articles should remain seperate as though these two look similar there still pretty different, Mecha-Kritters are manufactured by the Kremling Krew and Robo-Kritter was apparently made by Bowser, I think may be one of a kind and really has no affiliation with the Kremling Krew. -- Sir Grodus

Mecha-Kritter is not Robo-Kritter

Why? Because Mecha-Kritters contain wind-up handles on the back of them while Robo-Kritters do not.Plus Robo-Kritter posseses claws while Mecha-Kritter posseses uh.. hand like things without claws. Therefore Robo-Kritter and Mecha-Kritter are different. Although I'm sure the official name for Mecha-Kritter is Toy Kritter. --Taj The Genie 23:04, 10 February 2007 (EST)

What's the source of the name

seriously. Someone moved the page with the reason being "This is not a conjectural name" (not helpful), nothing pointing to a source is provided in the article and I haven't found anything on the rest of the internet. --Glowsquid 23:11, 25 February 2012 (EST)

The guy who moved it has a history of making up names and passing them off as official. He did it for other articles from this game and they were all reverted so my best guess is that this isn't official Raven Effect (talk)

Krobot to Klank (Donkey Kong 64)?

Question.svg This talk page or section has a conflict or question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

Should this be moved to it's apparent Japanese name? Of course, there is already a Klank, so maybe add (Donkey Kong 64) to the name. Zakor1138 (talk) 00:08, 3 February 2014 (EST)

This page name has been disputed way too often but this name seems official at least. However, I should point out that it might actually be Krank, not Klank as Japanese lettering makes no distinction between L and R. The name is identical in Japanese to Klank's name, but given that it might be a reference to a crankshaft (although it's a wind up toy with a key, not a crank, technically), it's name might be Krank. Klank or Krank both suit it, unfortunately, so it's hard to know for sure. Krank would avoid having the same name twice, but it's perfectly possible that Rare named it whilst entirely forgetting about Klank, who was a minor enemy. Wouldn't be the first time they made mistakes with Kremling names. I'm leaning towards Krank just to avoid having the same name for two enemies, and because it might be a reference to it's wind-up nature. Fizzle (talk) 11:41, 4 February 2014 (EST)

Due to lack of replies here, I'm going to go ahead and move this to "Krank" soon, but if anyone thinks I'm wrong, go ahead and state so. It's still better than endless conjectural names. Fizzle (talk) 12:56, 29 March 2014 (EDT)

Toy Kritter

So I was browsing the Japanese names for the enemies in the game, and I noticed that in the midst of the paragraph describing クランク, it said Toy Kritter. So I went and looked at the translation through Google:

A robotic-crocodile. It is immune to punches but will be defeated by special attacks and oranges. It has nothing to do with the character of the same name from Super Donkey Kong 2. In the overseas edition it is called Toy Kritter.

Perhaps there is a source that confirms this name? --Tailikku1 (talk) 17:23, 27 October 2014 (EDT)

Move to Robokremling

Should we move this page to Robokremling? It's actually confirmed whereas the name Toy Kritter has no known origin, it seems. Zakor1138 (talk) 17:13, 1 December 2014 (EST)
