Super Mario-Kun is a Japanese-published Mario manga series written by Yukio Sawada and published by Shogakukan. The manga is printed monthly in CoroCoro Comic. They contained many of the characters and scenarios of various Mario games, including Super Mario World and Paper Mario.

1 The very first volume that came out appeared only in Japan. The volume is based on the game, Super Mario World. On the front cover of this issue; the reader will see Mario with his cape; Luigi, a new friend named Yoshi and Bowser with his Koopa Clown Car. August 27, 1991

2 The second volume in the beginning manga. It is again based on the game, Super Mario World. The front cover of the volume introduces the invincible Starman. This volume also includes a special chapter with short stories based on past games (at the time), such as Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong. November 28, 1991
Super Mario-kun #2
3 The third volume of the Super Mario World manga as the manga appears in. The front cover has Princess Peach riding on Yoshi. Includes a chapter with a ton of cameos from Super Mario Land. January 28, 1992
Super Mario-kun #3
4 The fourth volume of the manga that once again features the plot, object, and character based on the game Super Mario World. This volume includes some Christmas special short comic, a special chapter with the author, a story "based" on Mario Paint, a story when Mario actually goes to Hyrule and a climatic fight between Mario and Bowser. November 28, 1992
Super Mario-kun #4
5 The last volume of the manga based on the game Super Mario World. The story was supposed to end in the last issue, but there's a new twist to the story. This is the first cover to show Yoshi with his mouth closed. December 16, 1992
Super Mario-kun #5
6 The company next features a volume that is based on the game, Super Mario Kart; the first and only volume based on that game. The front cover features Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and Yoshi racing in various tracks. Additionally, Yoshi is holding an Yoshi Egg. There is a Lakitu that has a microphone with a speaker to see the race and a traffic light for starting the race. March 27, 1993

7 This next volume is based on the game Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. In the front cover, there is a Mario figure that appeared in Mario Zone. Mario is hanging out on the figure while Wario, a new enemy, hides behind the figure. Also, there's a Carrot power-up on the cover. Additionally, Bowser, Luigi, and Yoshi appeared in the volume but not in the actual game. June 28, 1993

8 This is another volume that is once again based on the game, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. At the front cover, the reader will see a form of Raccoon Mario, and Bunny Mario. Also, there's a another Mario holding a Turnip that came from the game, Super Mario Bros. 2. September 28, 1993

9 The ninth volume in the series is based on the game, Yoshi's Safari due to the fact Mario is holding a Super Scope on the front cover. The front cover shows that there is Bowser wearing the protected armor, a Yoshi Coin, Luigi, some items such as a Mushroom, a Fire Flower and a Starman and Wario. Luigi and Wario aren't in the actual game. December 16, 1993
Super Mario-kun #9
10 Possibly based on the game, Super Mario All-Stars plus Super Mario World. On the front cover, it shows that there are lots of things that came from the game as it has various enemies, Wart, and all of Mario's friends and foes. Several enemies from Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins also appear. May 28, 1994
Super Mario-kun #10
11 Based on the game, Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land and on the game Wario's Woods. In the Wario Land adaptation, Mario and Yoshi go with Wario in the trip to stop Captain Syrup, while, in the Wario's Woods adaptation, Wanda appears in Peach's Castle Garden asking for help to stop Wario, so Mario, Yoshi, Luigi and Toad go to help her. On the front cover, there are forms that Wario can gain from the Jar Powerups. October 28, 1994
Issue 11 of Super Mario-kun
12 The last volume that is based on the game once again, Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land. There's the second part of the adaptation of Wario's Woods. The front cover once again features the same Jar Powerups. Additionally, Luigi appears in the middle of the Wario Land adaptation, and Donkey Kong made some cameos in some chapters of the same adaptation, either helping or causing trouble. March 28, 1995
Super Mario-kun #12
13 This volume may be based on the game, Mario's Picross, as there is a huge Mario face in the cover. Additionally; Bowser, Luigi, Wario, Birdo, and Yoshi appeared in the volume. August 28, 1995

14 The next volume is based on the game, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and later, Donkey Kong Country. The volume starts with some changes to the Yoshi's Island story: Adult Mario with Adult Luigi travel to the past to stop Adult Bowser from helping Kamek kidnap the two baby twins, and help Yoshi to deliver Baby Mario. Mario and Yoshi then end up in the Donkey Kong Country story, where Cranky Kong asks for help for Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong against King K. Rool. Inside the volume is some 4-komas based on Donkey Kong Country 2 with both Diddy and Dixie. January 27, 1996

15 It seems that this manga is a crossover between Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Super Mario 64. On the front cover, it shows Mario flying with the Wing Cap as Baby Mario possibly uses the Starman to gain the Cape and Yoshi and his Yoshi-Copter form. June 1996

16 This volume seems to be based on Super Mario 64, with Eyerok looming in the back. Not much else is known about its contents. April 1997

25 This volume is based on Paper Mario as it shows some of the partners like "Lady Bow", "Goombario", and "Kooper" as well as "Eldstar", "Twink" and Bowser holding the "Star Rod". This volume was actually released quite a bit before the game hit store shelves, even in Japan. Not much else is known about its contents. July 2001

26 This volume continues the Paper Mario arc, showing all the Star Spirits on the cover, along with Goombario and Kooper. Not much else is known about its contents. March 2002

34 This is the last volume based on Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, with lots of Crystal Stars. May 2006
35 This volume ends the Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door story arc and begins the Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time story arc. January 2007

While some stories are large arcs such as Super Mario World and Super Mario 64, there are also stories that are much smaller, sometimes less than a volume big. (#~#) or (#) indicates the volumes containing that story. (?) indicates that the name may be a mistranslation. Some stories run consecutively through several volumes, with half of the volume being one story and half of it being another story, or other similar splits in the volume.
