Captain Goomba (Mario Party 8)
Captain Goomba is an oversized Goomba in Mario Party 8. He appears at the end of Goomba's Booty Boardwalk and he will give any character a free Star if he/she reaches him. As his name implies, he is a captain of a ship. He also has a few Pirate Goombas.
In Star Battle, he will still give the character a star, only if the character brought fifty coins. In this mode getting a star is the key to winning the battle-however, if the player shows up with less than 50 coins, Captain Goomba will send him or her back to the start.
Captain Goomba also has a team of Pirate Goombas which are Goombas with green pirate bandannas. They appear also in Goomba's Booty Boardwalk near the end of the trail to get a Star in a ? Space. If a player lands on their ? space, the three Goombas will exclaim that "landlubbers" are not allowed to meet their captain, and are only worthy to be cannon fodder. Upon shouting the above statement, the Pirate Goombas immediately surround the character, load them into a cannon, and blast the player back to start.
