Tiptup is a clumsy turtle, who made his first appearance in Diddy Kong Racing.
History
Diddy Kong Racing series
Diddy Kong Racing
Tiptup was a playable driver in Diddy Kong Racing. He helped Timber, Pipsy and others defend their home island from Wizpig. The pig tyrant fled back to his home planet, Future Fun Land, after being defeated by Tiptup and his friends. Tiptup and his allies followed, and defeated Wizpig for a second time. Tiptup's instrument theme is a xylophone or marimba.
Diddy Kong Racing DS
Tiptup also appeared in the remake to Diddy Kong Racing, Diddy Kong Racing DS. He had a higher pitched voice in the game, but otherwise his characteristics were identical with the original title.
Banjo series
Banjo-Kazooie
After living on Timber's island, Tiptup moved to Banjo's world. In Banjo-Kazooie, he went on to conduct the "Tiptup Choir" comprised of various turtles like himself. The Tiptup Choir resided in the shell of the giant turtle Tanktup. After Banjo and Kazooie helped the choir with a performance, Tiptup would reward the duo with a Jiggy.
Banjo-Tooie
In Banjo-Tooie, Kazooie had to help Tiptup hatch his son from an egg. Tiptup ultimately named his son Tiptup Jr.
