A Donut Lift is a kind of platform in Super Mario Bros. 3. If Mario or Luigi stands on one for more than a second, it drops below, often into lava. For this reason, Mario and Luigi should avoid touching the ground by Jumping as much as possible when crossing Donut Lifts. They also appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, where they do the same thing. They as well appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.
