Delete this article
This article is simply a large amount of physical descriptions and outright conjecture of randomly designed extras from a single comic. All of which is rendered redundant by the main image, which is already used to describe the story itself. There's no real reason to have and/or keep it. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:19, December 1, 2023 (EST)
- I definitely agree. That part where it explains the types of aliens is completely unnecessary. Readers can just look at the image provided if they want to see that. -- Dark-Boy-1up 15:28, January 16, 2024 (EST)
- Yes. Put this article on a rocket straight to the black hole that is the BJAODN archive. SolemnStormcloud (talk) 20:06, January 16, 2024 (EST)
- We don't agree with a full deletion, but this page basically needs an entire rework as it is to merely describe the actual role of the aliens, rather than... all this. ~Camwoodstock (talk) 11:00, February 22, 2024 (EST)
- Actually, we had time to kill, and it seemed simple enough. So um... We reworked the page! "Intentions" was basically a glorified description, so we rephrased a lot of that and merged it to the actual article's opening, we pruned "Types" and "UFOs" entirely because of blatant violations of fan worship/flowery text, and moved the remaining images to a gallery. If we made any errors, we apologize, we haven't read the comic ourselves so we only had the other articles to go off. We hope this is a vast improvement, and might have a place on the wiki in this state. ~Camwoodstock (talk) 11:18, February 22, 2024 (EST)
- Looks good to me! So, should we remove that {{delete-request}} template, or wait for Doc's response first? SolemnStormcloud (talk) 14:24, February 22, 2024 (EST)
- I'm still not sure if this page needs to exist, as they are still just extras in the grand scheme of things. But it is better now. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 10:47, February 23, 2024 (EST)
- I think it's best that you start a proposal so others can gauge their opinion on keeping this page or not. As for me, I can take it or leave it after Camwoodstock's cleanup. SolemnStormcloud (talk) 12:29, February 23, 2024 (EST)

ANTI-ALIEN ALARM!!! (Delete this article)
This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit any of the sections in the proposal. If you wish to discuss the article, do so in a new header below the proposal. |
Keep 0-8
This article also has an unresolved "should we delete this?" template, and we were actually involved in the conversation about it, so what the heck, we might as well.
The main argument is that this article is simply redundant in the face of their coverage given out in both the article for their source comic, as well as the article for their leader. It is worth noting that the article used to be in a very... dismal state. We revised it awhile back, but it was decided a proposal might be best to determine if it's necessary outright. Then this month happened. Oopsies. Well, we're doing it now!

Keep/Do nothing
- Camwoodstock (talk) Bet you didn't expect to see a proposal where the creator disagrees with it! Well, so it goes, we suppose. While this article is definitely rather slim, we feel it still has a use in our opinion, and definitely has seen some improvements since its BJAODN-worthy initial state. But, well, the discussion stated we should hold a proposal about if we keep this article or not, so who are we to abstain from a proposal even if we disagree with it? ;P
- Mario (talk) Article can stay.
- PrincessPeachFan (talk) Keep.
- Jdtendo (talk) Krzbrzl-Korizl! (Let aliens stay!)
- ThePowerPlayer (talk) This is fine.
- MegaBowser64 (talk) I kinda wanted to kill the alien but fine
- SolemnStormcloud (talk) In lieu of another variation on "keep this article" as a reasoning, per discussion below.
- Arend (talk) Porinki-Porinki! (Per all.)
Comments
We've had this before with Generic Subjects like horses and dogs which boils down to just mention the roles in Mario games and delete everything else. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 10:54, March 18, 2024 (EDT)
I remain completely indifferent to this article's continued existence, but what would the merits of keeping it be? SolemnStormcloud (talk) 12:35, March 20, 2024 (EDT)
- Well, what are the merits of keeping the articles for any other generic minor species? Above all else, even though it's not the most important subject in the world, the aliens are a thing in the Mario series that have a tangible role in their comic of origin; we don't really see why not to give them at least a small amount of coverage like this. And unlike some Blip Comics in the room, Club Nintendo is actually officially licensed in a way we can verify. ~Camwoodstock (talk) 12:56, March 20, 2024 (EDT)
- Fair point. SolemnStormcloud (talk) 13:12, March 20, 2024 (EDT)
