Is he really a Doogan? He has a completely different facial structure and a different nose than other Doogans. I thought he was just an anthropomorphic blue dog. -- Son of Suns

Looks like a raccoon. 3dhammer.gif 3D, just me. 3dhammer.gif
I think he is a Doogan, or really close to one.

I'd say he's a Doogan. Booster

BEATEN

So does anyone know where he goes after you beat the game or does he just kinda disappear? User:Mario rex33

Yeah, he goes to Keelhaul Key. He's at the end of the pier by Cortez's ship. Avengah 02:06, 18 January 2009 (EST)

Doogan?

Relating to the top comment, he really doesn't look like a Doogan upon closer examination. Doogans have faces shaped like those of Yoshis, while his is totally different (note the lower lip). This seems more like how Ishnail resembles a Koopa Troopa but clearly isn't one himself. This game simply reused a lot of facial features and had a lot of characters not of established species. Also, the only language to have his name follow the respective theme naming for Doogans seems to be German. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:16, May 7, 2020 (EDT)

Pretty much everything about him is different, the snout shape, mouth placement, nose placement and shape. Seems like it may just be speculation. --Waluigi's head icon in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 14:14, January 29, 2022 (EST)

This is an old discussion, but it's not particularly resolved, so... This concept art from the remake shows he was originally designed with brown fur, like regular Doogans. Blinker (talk) 16:14, June 11, 2024 (EDT)
