Uh...
In the Peach's Castle section: "A Power Moon that was dug up from the Fossil Falls." I don't have the game so I can't check, but is this a copy/paste error or is that actually what it says? 19:44, 3 November 2017 (EDT)
Items not sold
Why is every outfit in the game listed under “List of Items Sold” when not all of them are sold by Crazy Cap? Shouldn’t these outfits (i.e. the Mario Outfit, Wedding Mario Outfit and Captain’s hat) be removed from the list? Aykrivwassup (talk) 13:38, 9 December 2017 (EST)
- Because we need a list of all outfits somewhere, and given that the Crazy Cap page hosts everything else already, the outfits belong here. It wouldn't make sense to have a two versions of this list that's exactly the same in different pages. Plus, those outfits are demoted as being unpurchasable, so the readers won't get confused. -- 13:31, 10 December 2017 (EST)
- I don't think that list belongs here as not all clothes are sold by Crazy Cap, some are rewarded for doing things. It should really be a seperate list divided into Sold by Crazy Cap and Other or somehting similar. --Raltseye prata med mej 18:39, 10 December 2017 (EST)
- To which I again say we need a list of clothes. We don't need two seperate lists of clothes on two different pages, or splitting up this list. Right now the page says sold by crazy cap because I couldn't come up with something better. Other than that, the list stays as it is. -- 23:15, 10 December 2017 (EST)
- I didn't say we need two pages with two lists, what I meant is that the list shouldn't be here and be its own seperate list. --Raltseye prata med mej 11:03, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- We can't not have the clothes sold by crazy cap on this page.-- 13:46, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- I don't understand why we can't have a Crazy Cap store page that lists only souvenirs (those are exclusive to Crazy Cap iirc) as purchaseable items as a complete list and a "List of clothing in Super Mario Odyssey" page, which this page links to in the form of header + template:main. Because having clothing in this article that Crazy Cap doesn't sell so is not related by virtue is still wrong information that doesn't belong there. Ray Trace(T|C) 14:37, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- Because it's in the name. Crazy Cap. They sell caps. And outfits. And souvenirs. And stickers. It doesn't make any sense not to have the clothes on this page. And the reader still won't get confused by the 8 clothing items listed that you don't buy. There's no price listed for those 8 items and instead gives the unlock. It's simple to understand and it keeps all the clothes together in one list without pulling them from the Crazy CAP page. And out of the 126 total collectibles, not including the moons or heart, it's only those 8 that you don't buy.-- 15:26, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- Regardless, I'm seeing incorrect information here, which isn't good. Either we need two lists or the section should be retitled/moved. 15:30, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- I definitely think the section needs to be retitled, but I just don't know what to call it.-- 15:45, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- Just because it's in the name doesn't mean they sell it nor do they necessarily own. Some of the clothing isn't sold by Crazy Cap, so that means it has no business on this page. I still fail to see why we can't have a List of clothing in Super Mario Odyssey page which this page links to, similar to how we don't write a list of clothing directly in the respective shops pages of the Mario RPG games. Ray Trace(T|C) 17:25, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- I'm for a separate list of clothing and removing the non-sellable items from this list. Renaming may not actually work well, due to the other items and Power Moons the shop also sells. 17:28, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- I'm also thinking that maybe the souvenirs would also work better as their own article, as you can easily split that off by listing each kingdom-specific souvenirs under their own header rather than mash them all in one table (since they're all sold by different Crazy Cap shops as well. Ray Trace(T|C) 17:30, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- The souvenirs are sorted all together in the order the game has them sorted in.-- 17:31, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- Eeeeeeeh, if they're all sold by Crazy Cap, I don't see a reason to split them off of this page. Split them by section, maybe? 17:32, 11 December 2017 (EST)
- I still think the souvenirs better off split into individual tables with a header for each kingdom so it's easier for users to browse through kingdom-specific souvenirs (as well as organizing through table of contents), you don't have to specify the shape of the currency as it's cumbersome for how the article does kingdom-specific currency, and it would lessen the amount of width for the table. - Except it's already fairly clear where each souvenir belongs to, and specifying the shape of the coins doesn't add to the width of the table, the descriptions do.-- 17:39, 11 December 2017 (EST)
Doctor's Outfit
Shouldn't the doctor's outfit be noted as a reference to dr. mario? LuigiSauce (talk) 18:54, 23 December 2017 (EST)
- Seems kinda obviously redundant to me, like with the Luigi and Wario outfits, but if others think so...? 18:59, 23 December 2017 (EST)
Datamined Costumes
Should these newfound costumes be mentioned at all, perhaps in trivia? I'm assuming the popular vote will be no, but I'd like opinions.

- There's also apparently some leaks going on with Isle Delfino DLC. It's awesome that these costumes can be loaded, but it's possible these are future DLC. Maybe wait a month, see what happens? If nothing does, then they can be added to a trivia. 09:40, 16 May 2018 (EDT)
- Alright, thanks. Moldomre11:38, 16 May 2018 (EDT)
- It is now July, but I feel we should wait until the Nintendo Direct for this month to see if anything changes. (The Racer outfit and Rango outfit have been added, so maybe they are going to release them all slowly.) Moldomre22:29, 12 July 2018 (EDT)
8-bit / pixel art
All of these costumes are turned 8-bit (also known as pixel art) after going through a special warp pipe, why aren't these versions mentioned? It would be nice to have images of these as well. CappyThrow (Talk) 05:45, June 14, 2020 (EDT)
