Sphynx or Sphinx?

Sphinx is the mythical creature and monument, sphynx is the weird wrinkly cat. In real life, anyways. How is it spelled in-game? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 11:47, 2 November 2017 (EDT)

It is Sphynx in-game. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 11:51, 2 November 2017 (EDT)
Alrighty then. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 11:52, 2 November 2017 (EDT)

Is it an individual or a species?

Well on the last quiz he asks questions about previous things he did in the other kingdoms. Implying it was the same character all along. Ksiorze (talk) 11:56, 2 November 2017 (EDT)

I think it should be singular on all the pages mentioning it. Ksiorze (talk) 15:05, 2 November 2017 (EDT)

I may be a hive-mind like being, having multiple bodies for different kingdoms but only one mind. --Seandwalsh (talk) 16:36, 5 November 2017 (EST)

Oh are you? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:06, 5 November 2017 (EST)

Lmao but I think otherwise since in one of the quizzes in the later questions I ask Mario how dud he get there and the correct response is "floating". It may be figurative and the mind floated from one body to another? That's more of a headcanon Ksiorze (talk) 00:16, 6 November 2017 (EST)

Yeah, I know this is pretty old already, but it's the same character using the same body. We see the Sphynx on the sky floating using an airship sail (You even need to look at it to get a Power Moon). There's also the Moon Riddle were the correct answer is "Floated by airship sail" Magma. Is the "Super Mario Odyssey" part of the title necessary?

I feel that unless there are other sphynxes in the Mario series, I feel like there shouldn't be such a distinction in the article's title. Smashgoom202 (talk) 12:24, 2 November 2017 (EDT)

Per. Sphynx currently has nothing to it. At best, we could have {{distinguish}} for other sphinxes. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 12:29, 2 November 2017 (EDT)
I suppose it's to distinguish it from the other Sphinxes to make it easier. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:31, 2 November 2017 (EDT)
But the vowels distinguish them already. That's the purpose of the distinguish table, to outline article names that are similar, but not the same. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 14:36, 2 November 2017 (EDT)
Just trying to come up with a reasoning as to why it is there. I'm all for removing it. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 14:43, 2 November 2017 (EDT)
