Template:Infobox Mario Party: Star Rush is an upcoming game in the Mario Party series. It is scheduled for release on November 4, 2016 for North America, October 7 for Europe, and October 8 for Australia and New Zealand. It will be the second Mario Party game for the Nintendo 3DS after Mario Party: Island Tour and the fourteenth game overall. The game is confirmed to be compatible with amiibo.[1]
Play modes
Although many other modes are confirmed to appear[2], the currently confirmed game modes so far are:
- Toad Scramble (1-4 players) - Each player starts as one of four colored Toads and moves across a nonlinear game board simultaneously, recruiting ally characters, playing minigames, and fighting bosses.[1]
- Coinathlon - Players must collect as many coins as they can in 60-second minigames to progress. Items available.[3]
- Balloon Bash - Players must collect coins on a mini board with 20 turns and minigames after each round.[3]
- Rhythm Recital - Players can play classic Mario tunes using the touchscreen. Each character has their own instrument.[3]
- Character Museum - Allows players to view characters collected in the game. amiibo options are also found here.[3]
- Minigames - Where players can play Free-For-All, Boss, Bowser, and Coinathlon minigames.[3]
- Multiplayer - Download and local play options available.[3]
