Well... First of all, the fact that Kamek looks like the rest actually only makes it more ambiguous; it could've therefore been any Magikoopa. Also, while many sites do indeed list this character as Kamek, I've found that most of these are speculation that is worth mention here but not credible enough to be treated so canonically. Finally... When did Miyamoto say that? I don't mean to be touchy or annoying, but do you have some kind of interview link? YELLOWYOSHI398

Timeline

Um, it's right. You should probably read by Yoshi theory on my page. Yoshi Jr. is the current THE Yoshi. That's the Yoshi from Yoshi's Story and is born at the end of Yoshi's Island DS. THE Yoshi in Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Island DS, and Partners in Time, the adult one, is Yoshi Sr., the current THE Yoshi's father. All of the Yoshis in Yoshi's Story are the children of the Yoshi's Island relay crew. Ask me for more info if you need it. I'm full of theories. Loaded. All righty.

You are all wrong. The Yoshi in SMW is the Yoshi Village Cheif in Paper Mario. There is no Yoshi Jr. There is no Yoshi Sr.
