• In honor of collecting 300 billion coins worldwide, Nintendo realesead a free Coin Rush pack (available until January 31, 2013) called the Gold Classics Pack with a Super Mario Bros. Level, a Super Mario Bros. 3 level and Bowser's Castle from Super Mario Bros. It was realeased on 11-27-12.
• Super Mario Bros. 2 was released on the 3DS Virtual Console in Japan on November 28, 2012.
• Nintendo announces a version of the Wii, the Wii Mini (pictured), that will be released in Canada on December 7, 2012.
• The Wii U was launched in North America on November 18, 2012, along with other game launch titles; New Super Mario Bros. U and Nintendo Land.
