Pratfall
Pratfalling (also called tripping and slipping, though pratfalling is the official term) is a new feature in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. When a character pratfalls, they will fall over and be temporarily immobilized. The player will have to get up from the floor either by jumping, rolling, or attacking, which is called a floor attack. This can create chances for opponents to attack the player. Pratfalling can be caused by sudden movements, such as running, changing direction, or falling on ice. Running on a Banana Peel will create the same effect.
Pratfalls can be quite infamous in that they can easily mess up a player on certain game modes, such as Boss Battles.
Additionally, one of Tingle's abilities is to cause players to pratfall. Template:BoxTop
