Yarikuri Obake[1] (ヤリクリオバケ) are ghostly enemies appearing in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. As their name indicates, they are the ghosts of Pirate Gooms, known as Yarikuri in Japanese. Obake refers to prenatural beings in Japanese folklore, but can also mean ghost. Yarikuri Obake behave like Boos, in that they will only move if Wario's back is turned. They still carry the spears the wielded in life. Zenisukii uses them in his battle with Wario.
