Barnacle is a bear who loves collecting shells. If the Kongs give the bear the shell that they bought from Bazaar, they will receive a Banana Bird.
In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 3, Barnacle is relocated to Pacifica and can be found in a pirate ship right after the first level. Bachelor ends up taking over the island that Barnacle was originally on in Lake Orangatanga.
Barnacle makes a reappearance in Donkey Konga 3, a game only released in Japan.
