Poké Ball
A Poké Ball

Poké Balls are items in the Super Smash Bros. series from the Pokémon series that when thrown, will release a random Pokémon out of the ball, say its cry, and attack. Very, very rarely, the player will encounter a Pokémon such as Mew or Celebi. These Pokémon don't do any damage to anybody, they just fly off screen. However, after the battle, the player will get a huge score for seeing that Pokémon. The Pokéball returns in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The Pokémon Trainer uses a Pokéball to change between his 3 different Pokémon.

A trophy of a Pokéball can also be obtained in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl

For a complete listing of Pokémon coming out of Poké Balls, see the Pokémon article.
