- —Baby Peach, Two Plumbers and a Baby
Baby Peach (originally Baby Princess Toadstool) is a minor character in the Super Mario series designed to be the baby counterpart of Princess Peach. She made a one-time appearance on the The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! before reappearing sixteen years later in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Since then she has become a recurring character in spinoff installments alongside Baby Daisy, much like Baby Mario and Baby Luigi before them.

The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!
"Two Plumbers and a Baby"
Many years later, while the adult Princess Toadstool was searching for a way to save the Mushroom Kingdom in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! after the events of Super Mario Bros., she, Mario, Luigi, and Toad came to the Kingdom of Youth after receiving word that King Koopa was staging a new plot from that location in "Two Plumbers and a Baby." They discovered that King Goo goo Ga Ga Koopa, one of King Koopa's alternate personas, had increased the water flow of the Fountain of Youth in order to create a workforce of child slaves. The four heroes were seen, and in the ensuing chase Princess Toadstool tripped on a stone and fell into the fountain. She was transformed into her baby form, Baby Princess. Mario, Luigi, and Toad struggled to escape from King Goo Goo Ga Ga Koopa with the princess, but ultimately they escaped. They decided to wait for nightfall before freeing the slaves, but in the meantime Mario, Luigi, and Toad were forced to babysit Baby Princess, who had regressed back to her curious, mischievous, and helpless form. Finally, Mario and Luigi reversed the water flow of the Fountain of Youth, returning Princess Toadstool to her true, adult self.
Yoshi series
Yoshi's Island DS
In Yoshi's Island DS, Kamek and his Toadies set out to kidnap all seven Star Children so that the adult Bowser from the future could steal their powers. Kamek staged a massive kidnapping of countless babies from all around Mushroom World in the hope of finding the Star Children. Princess Peach was one of many targeted. A Toady entered Princess Peach's Castle through a tower window and stole her away. However, the Stork discovered Kamek and attacked the pack of Toadies. He managed to release Baby Mario and Baby Peach, both of whom fell to Yoshi's Island below. Baby Peach softened her fall by floating down with her parasol.
The Yoshis gathered together with the Stork to discuss what should be done with Baby Peach and Baby Mario. They decided to help the anxious Baby Mario save his brother, who the Stork had not been able to free. In order to reach Bowser's Castle, each Yoshi carried a baby on its back as it trekked across the terrain while the Stork carried the other baby in the skies above.
After she began riding on the Yoshis' backs in Catch the Breeze, Baby Peach proved herself useful. Her parasol assisted the Yoshis she rode in terms of Flutter Jump length and also allowed them to ride upon strong winds to reach high areas. In Baby DK, the Jungle King!, a pack of Grinders kidnapped the princess, but thanks to the help of Baby Donkey Kong, Green Yoshi was able to save her. Baby Peach met two other babies at this time: Baby Wario, and Baby Bowser. The Yoshis eventually discovered that Bowser of the future was behind the mass kidnappings and put a stop to his plans, preventing the theft of Peach's star power. The Stork returned Baby Peach to the castle, where she lived peacefully for some time.
Mario & Luigi series
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
In light of the souring conditions on the Shroob Planet, the Shroobs, led by Elder Princess Shroob and Princess Shroob, plotted to invade and destroy the Mushroom Kingdom in order to create a kingdom of their own in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Their first target was Princess Peach's Castle. By coincidence, Baby Bowser was also planning his first attack on the kingdom to kidnap Princess Peach. Just as Baby Mario and Baby Luigi arrived for a play date, Baby Bowser broke into the castle. Baby Mario defeated him, saving Baby Peach from the attack.
However, no sooner had Baby Bowser been defeated the Shroobs began their attack on the castle. Caught unprepared, the castle was soon declared lost. Realizing that they were in grave danger if they stayed, Baby Bowser called Kamek and ordered him to bring the Koopa Cruiser. He allowed Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, and Toadsworth the Younger to flee with him. Toadsworth the Younger placed the princess in a stroller and rolled her aboard.
In the space of hours, the Shroobs took over almost all of the Mushroom Kingdom, including Toad Town. Princess Peach's Castle was transformed into Shroob Castle. The Koopa Cruiser was pursued, but Baby Bowser soon defeated the Shroob UFOs that attempted to shoot them down. As they passed over Hollijolli Village, the cruisers' pilots noticed two attacked "villagers," the future Mario and Luigi, who had traveled back in time to find the future Princess Peach. Baby Bowser instructed his minions to ignore them and head for Bowser's Castle. Upset, Baby Peach threw a loud tantrum until Baby Bowser finally agreed to land. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi rescued their older selves from the Shroobs and brought them onboard.
Just as they neared Bowser's Castle, Princess Shroob launched a missile and shot the Koopa Cruiser down. It crashed into the castle, sending Baby Peach and Toadsworth the Younger flying. He searched the castle with the princess, eventually finding Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi escaping to the future through a time hole. They followed, emerging in the Mushroom Kingdom of the future, years after the Shroobs had been defeated and order restored.
Toadsworth the Younger and Baby Peach remained in the future where it was safe while Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi traveled back and forth through time to save the Mushroom Kingdom. The efforts of the future Toadsworth and Toadsworth the Younger to amuse the young princess taught the Mario Bros. new moves. When Princess Shroob disguised herself as Princess Peach and followed the brothers to the future, Baby Peach was agitated by the alien princess and cried. Later, the adults realized their mistake and managed to fight Princess Shroob back into the past. After the brothers defeated the Shroobs, liberated the Mushroom Kingdom of the past, and saved the future Princess Peach, they returned to the future. Using Professor Elvin Gadd's time machine, Baby Peach, Toadsworth the Younger, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi returned to the present.
Super Smash Bros. series
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Baby Peach appears a trophy. This was her first appearance in a three-dimensional video game. This time she sported a new outfit which would also be seen in Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Super Sluggers. The trophy was unlocked by obtaining five hundred other trophies.
Mario Kart series
Mario Kart Wii
Baby Peach made her first appearance in the Mario series' spinoff installments starting with Mario Kart Wii. She was one of the new participants to the Mario Kart installments overall and was available to be chosen from the start. She fell into the small size class, which allowed her to drive karts or bikes with high acceleration and good off-road capabilities. However, these karts also had low speed. Like all the other racers, Baby Peach owned one version of each of the karts and bikes in her size class. Her karts and bikes were pink and her symbol was her crown like the adult Princess Peach.
The normal and expert staff ghosts for Peach Gardens were recorded using Baby Peach in the Magikruiser and Mini Beast respectively.
Mario Baseball series
Mario Super Sluggers
After Mario Kart Wii, Baby Peach returned to the Mario series' spinoff installment scene, but as one of the Team Players for Mario Super Sluggers. However, Baby Peach was not available from the start for all modes in the game; she first has to be unlocked by completing her scenario during Challenge Mode gameplay. In Baby Peach's case, she was playing hide-and-seek with Baby Daisy prior to Bowser Jr. invading the Peach Ice Garden. Scared, Baby Daisy ran away and hid while Baby Peach remained behind a Toad-shaped bush until her adult self found her. Upon meeting the criteria involving Baby Peach, she will be added to the overall roster for the entire game, plus join Peach's team (the Peach Monarchs) to challenge the Bowser and Bowser Jr. teams.
In the Mario Super Sluggers gameplay itself, Baby Peach stands out as one of the best pitchers out of all the competitors; however, she was also one of the poorest batters. Despite her shortcomings, through the use of star skills she was able to improve both her pitching and batting. When she is up to bat, Baby Peach uses a large pink rattle to counter pitches from the opposing team. Baby Peach has good chemistry with Toadsworth, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Daisy, Baby DK and Yoshi, riding on Yoshi's back in the package artwork for the title. She has bad chemistry with Birdo and Petey Piranha.
Character Description
Personality
Baby Peach's personality bears similarity to that of her older self. She is mischievous, friendly, clever, pure hearted, and enjoys the company of others. She also exudes charm and elegance. Her playful nature can be seen through her enjoyment of Mario Kart races, baseball, flight, and the antics of Toadsworth and Toadsworth the Younger in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. However, she is quick to tears and tantrums. She has used her temper to control those around her, such as Baby Bowser when, in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, she cried until he agreed to help the adult Mario and Luigi just to make her stop.
Physical Description
Originally when Baby Peach appeared in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! as Baby Princess, she had red hair to correspond with the artists' interpretation of Princess Toadstool. Her outfit was different, as well: it was a pink one-piece with pant legs rather than a dress. She still had her brooch.
In Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, her appearance was updated to match the current look of Princess Peach. She has large blue eyes, rosy cheeks, and a tiny nose. Her full blonde hair is styled in the same way as her adult counterpart, although Baby Peach's hair is not as long down her back. She always wears a large crown and sucks on a pacifier.
Prior to her trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl she wore a pink jumper with a bib. A large, blue jewel broach was sewed onto the bib. She did not wear any shoes. Her updated design consists of a little girl's pink dress resembling the dress her older self wears. However, she does not wear long gloves and the skirt is much shorter. She wears hot pink buckle shoes and white socks.
