Liar Ball is the Star Skill of Waluigi in the Super Mario Stadium series.

Mario Superstar Baseball[edit]
Waluigi can use the Liar Ball while batting and pitching in Mario Superstar Baseball. While batting or pitching, Waluigi uses both an eggplant and a baseball, tricking the fielders and batter, respectively. When batting, the Liar Ball is hit as a high fly ball, and splits into the real ball and the eggplant, which stuns the fielder, shortly before hitting the ground. Overall, the move is very similar to Wario's Phony Ball, except Wario uses Garlic, and Waluigi's Liar Ball goes a shorter distance, landing usually close to the infield.
The Whiskered Eggplant is required to use the move in Challenge mode, if Waluigi is on the player's team.
Mario Super Sluggers[edit]
The Liar Ball is only a Star Pitch in Mario Super Sluggers. It works very different than in the previous game, starting as a large baseball but shrinking gradually as it approaches the batter. The Liar Ball can interfere with the batter's timing as well as cause the ball to travel an unusual position upon returning to regular size.
If Waluigi is pitching while the Wii Remote is in in the upright position, the Liar Ball comes down slowly upon reaching the batter.
