Without his fake Pianta head he looks just like the running man from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Is that relevant to the article?Knife (talk)
- Maybe in a specific Trivia section. -- Son of Suns
I think it's a good little thing to have in the article, though I think it should go under some kind of trivia section.
-Smashgoom202
Isn't his name II Piantissimo and not Il Piantissimo? User: maxlover2
Could somebody give me a link to a site that shows him without his mask, i saw one once, but it was indeed fake. Isyou 18:22, 18 February 2007 (EST)
Melody
...Melody is a ghost girl who's name hints at the fact that she is a pianist. Il is a human whose name sounds like Pianta, which is what he dresses as. Any connection seems a bit far fetched. - User: Ultimatetoad
Man?
He looks like one,but we can't be sure. (Toadbert101||Give a yell|Sez:I phailz) 22:02, 14 October 2007 (EDT)
Urm, that picture's fake. He only appeared in Sunshine and the picture looks like it's from SM64. (Okay it may be a bit better but it looks to bleh to be from Sunshine) Mumbles 16:55, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- The beard tells him off. I'm also pretty sure about other characters calling him a "he". - Cobold (talk · contribs) 17:02, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
Human?
If he can only be unmasked through hacking what if the developers intended him not to be human? I wouldn't consider this guy human? Plus it's hard to belive the "Magic Paintbrush" theory either.--Inuyasha Zero 16:06, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
He's stll a Human, he's just dressed as a Pianta. TWG (talk) HAI Plus, maybe the Magic Paintbrush bit is speculation, yet there's proof...
- I'm not that familar with the Zelda series, but do people with pointed ears count as "humans"? Link isn't in the human category, either, he is a Hylian with pointed ears. Marathon Man/Il Piantissimo has pointed ears as well. --Grandy02 13:53, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
- So his Hylian too? Grapes
- Okay. (Thanks for the link.) Princess Grapes Butterfly
- Done. =D Princess Grapes Butterfly
- Hey, wait look at the shape of his head. Judging by the shape and the fact that it can only be seen by hacking, that means that his head is still an unrendered polygon so, the pointy ears aren't probably pointy and may be a place holder of his ears if they had ever finished the head. Shadow Mario?
It states that he might of appear in Mario Golf GC. But the only way to turn into Shadow Mario is to wear that bandana that Bowser Ur. has. (I don't think that the Magic paintbush tranform him to Shadow Mario.) Grapes
I don't understand what you're asking. The only reference to Shaow Mario in Mario Golf GC is that his name appears on the scoreboard. He is never physically seen himself. Knife (talk) 22:41, 28 October 2008 (EDT)
Oh. Grapes
WRONG. I had the game before, and I unlocked Petey Piranha, Shadow Mario and Boo. Shadow Mario is playable. I say it. Koopalmier 08:47, 30 October 2008 (EDT)
- I don't really understand what Shadow Mario has to do with Il Piantissimo. — Stooben Rooben 08:53, 30 October 2008 (EDT)
- Some people thinks that Shadow Mario from Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and/or Cosmic Mario is Il Piantissimo who disguised into Shadow Mario by using the Magic Paintbrush. But this is impossible, because it's the Shadow Bandana who makes someone becoming Shadow Mario, not the Paintbrush. Koopalmier 19:34, 9 November 2008 (EST)
He is prolly the same secies of human as Mario
C'mon, guise. Il Piantissimo is definately a human. He's got human features and he has a human voice. □R.O.B. 128□ 16:27, 29 October 2008 (EDT)
That true. But i think it still uncomfirmed Ambidextria
- But then Link and Zelda would also be humans. --Grandy02 16:31, 29 October 2008 (EDT)
- I though they were Hylians. Ambidextria
- I've got it! Let's just settle with humanoid for now. Sounds reasonabe, no? :) □R.O.B. 128□ 16:40, 29 October 2008 (EDT)
- I don't know. It does sound better then calling him human since that uncomfirmed. Ambidextria
- What a pity. So he can't be classified as a Human,Hylain, or alien. Ambidextria
- So... can I... go ahead and type that he's humanoid? □R.O.B. 128□ 17:12, 29 October 2008 (EDT)
- You could call him humanoid, which doesn't mean that he belongs to "Human" category. As far as I know, all Hylians are humanoid (if this guy is a Hylian, but Marathon Man most likely is according to his ears). --Grandy02 17:45, 29 October 2008 (EDT)
- Yeah. (See 3-D sprite above.) So now his classified as a humanoid. Ambidextria
- So should he be removed from the Human template? --Grandy02 17:53, 29 October 2008 (EDT)
- I removed it. Ambidextria
His name still appears in the article Human. I would just remove it from the list, but he is also mentioned within the text as an example of a "very fast" human. Who could get a mention there instead of Il Piantissimo? --Grandy02 15:02, 2 November 2008 (EST)
Il Piantissimo's name
il means "the" check this that i took from wiktionary.
- Italian
- Article
- il m. sg. (pl.: i)
- 1. the.
Piantissimo can be interpretated like this:
- Pianta = Plant (In Italian)
- issimo = "the most" (In Italian)
- So, here's my concern:
il Piantissimo means "the most pianta of all humans".
Right? Mario loves Teacher Lupita 19:13, 29 October 2008 (EDT)
Why "of all humans" ? Koopalmier 08:49, 30 October 2008 (EDT)
- From what very little Italian I know, it would translate into "The Most Plant", or "The Greatest Plant". — Stooben Rooben 08:51, 30 October 2008 (EDT)
- That seems much more logical to me. --Grandy02 12:05, 30 October 2008 (EDT)
- Because there is also a species named "Pianta", so the correct traduction may be "The Greatest Pianta". It's somewhat fun, because Il Piantissimo is not a Pianta, but a human (or something else) in a Pianta disguise. Koopalmier 19:32, 9 November 2008 (EST)
- That seems much more logical to me. --Grandy02 12:05, 30 October 2008 (EDT)
