Unhappy Trails is a basic, 8-player mini-game in Mario Party 7. Its name is a pun off the phrase "Happy trails!" The goal of this mini-game is get a treasure at the end of the course; one player brings a key to their partner, who will then run to the treasure and unlock it. Once they get that, they must bring it to the first player, who will then relay the treasure back to the beginning of the path. The team that accomplishes this first, wins.
