Shock Absorbers is a duel mini-game found in Mario Party 5, as well as an 8-player minigame in Mario Party 7. However, these two are not to be confused as they are different content-wise.
Gameplay
In Mario Party 5
Various Amps appear inside a circle of more Amps. Players attempt to avoid being shocked by the Amps as they arbitrarily bounce along the circle. It should be noted that the Amps will periodically shoot deadly bolts between themselves, which must be avoided. This attack can be detected early by watching which Amps stop and glow. Two of the outer Amps and one in the middle will stop and glow before shooting the electricity between themselves. A player loses if he or she touches any Amp or beam of electricity.

In Mario Party 7
In this game, each of the eight players is secluded inside a box with three switches, and the players have to hit the switch that lights up. However, if the player hits an incorrect switch, it turns red and the player is eliminated after being shocked. The last player standing wins for his or her team, even if that player's teammate was eliminated.
