The CD-i was a video Game system that was the first to use CD-ROM. Nintendo originally partnered with Philips to make the SNES CD; the SNES CD was later aborted. The CD-i was originally released in 1991; it cost $700 in the United States[1]. After the SNES CD was aborted, Philips released 3 Zelda Games, 1 Mario Game, and a CD-i version of Tetris. The Zelda and Mario games recieved bad reception.
