This is a disjointed page about two characters who never appear together and are already covered on respective pages, while the "name" is just a throwaway line used to justify a vegetable farm in the middle of the forest. This article seems rather pointless to me. It could be repurposed into being about the farm itself, at least. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:27, October 8, 2022 (EDT)

Agreed. Repurpose it into being about the farm itself, not the Wigglers. Smijes08 (talk) 19:22, July 16, 2023 (EDT)
Maybe just rename to Wiggler Family Farm. Mario It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 21:20, September 1, 2023 (EDT)

What to do about Wiggler Family

This has been overdue for just over 2 years. This article has been in a rather confusing state for awhile, effectively being a joint page for two disparate characters that happen to share an area. An attempt was made to make this more about that area, but the article is still in this weird half-area, half-character synopsis state, and the name of "Wiggler Family" still sticks, with the suggested "Wiggler Family Farm" being a redirect. As a result, there's been a template suggesting it should be deleted... for just over 2 years.

The way we see it, there's 3 things we could do about this:

  • Delete & Redirect to Dimble Wood: Obviously, we just delete the article. After all, coverage of the area is already in the Dimble Wood article, why go in-depth on just a small aspect of it? In this case, we can't imagine not having this (and the Wiggler Family Farm redirect) not redirect to the Dimble Wood article.
  • Merge to Dimble Wood: A less extreme version of the first option; we delete this article, but integrate it into Dimble Wood.
  • Rework into being just about the Wiggler Farm: Since information on the characters is already covered in their articles, we could instead rework this to be about the farm area itself. Admittedly, this feels a little odd, since we can't name any sub-areas in the Mario & Luigi games that have their own articles--it's not like the Splart area has its own article separate from the minigame--but it wouldn't be the weirdest thing in the world.
  • Keep/Do nothing: The obligatory "everything's fine, and we're probably just overthinking it" option. Admittedly, we feel like this article is overdue for a rewrite either way, though. ;P

Delete & Redirect

Merge to Dimble Wood

  1. Camwoodstock (talk) This is our personal pick. We're already tantalizingly kinda there in the Dimble Wood article, mentioning the items and beans in the farm and even mentioning the farm in the opener, but then relenting from mentioning anything else.
  2. SolemnStormcloud (talk) Per proposal.
  3. LadySophie17 (talk) After thinking about it for a while, I think merging it into the Dimble Wood article is the best option, provided it gets its own detailed section (about the farm) rather than just be mentioned in the text body. The section should mention the farm, its purpose, its two inhabitants and its involvement in the story. — Lady Sophie Wiggler Sophie.png (T|C) 09:54, January 1, 2025 (EST)

Rework into being about the Wiggler Farm

  1. Camwoodstock (talk) Secondary option, though admittedly, we're a little cagey about this one since we haven't actually played Bowser's Inside Story to vouch for how large this sub-area actually is. If we have to retain this article, though, yeah, we should probably at least free it up from being in this weird half-character bio, half-area state.

Keep/Do Nothing

@Camwoodstock - On this mapMedia:ML-BIS-map-DimbeWood.png, the farm is the area in the upper right with the crops, leading up through the logs where the large hole is (which is where the Giga-Carrot starts at). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:31, December 28, 2024 (EST)

We did see this! Mostly meant "large" as in how prominent a role it plays, not necessarily literal room size. Camwoodstock-sigicon.png~Camwoodstock (talk) 17:46, December 28, 2024 (EST)
Bowser goes there, gets scolded by a holier-than-thou Squiggler, carrot-pulling minigame, carrot-eating minigame, boss fight. Later, you meet the Wiggler across the map who mentions the odd going-ons in the forest at large. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:24, December 28, 2024 (EST)
I always thought it was just a different Wiggler. — Lady Sophie Wiggler Sophie.png (T|C) 19:27, December 28, 2024 (EST)
We've heard those carrot minigames are apparently a nightmare, but that feels a bit more like something that just emerged from player experience, not actual story relevance. The boss fight is the main thing we'd worry about; in more "formal" terms, we guess our question is, is this area having a boss fight important enough to justify a split? We could go either way on this, personally. Camwoodstock-sigicon.png~Camwoodstock (talk) 19:27, December 28, 2024 (EST)

I'm abstaining from this because it's complicated: It's an actual place...but on the other hand, as the thing above this proposal states, it's mostly just to justify a vegetable growing place in the middle of the woods. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 08:20, December 29, 2024 (EST)
