- Concept art by Gregg Mayles for Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (pictured) shows that the Kongs were originally planned to fight Klubba in Krocodile Kore instead of Kaptain K. Rool.
- A Mine Cart in the Yoshi's Island DS level Spear Guys' Village Found! appears in a village hut, although it is blocked off by walls.
- The WarioWare: Move It! microgame Shoo, Fly is derived from the children's song, "Shoo Fly, Don't Bother Me".
