Anonster,[1] also known as the Spider Boss,[2] is a boss in Wario Land 3. Anonster is a colossal spider with three eyes and a circular pattern mark on its back. Its eyes turn red every time it spews webs from its mouth. Anonster is located in a giant tree in Out of the Woods, where Anonster hangs and moves around by a thread on the ceiling. While doing so, Anonster spews a clump of web that slowly floats down until it becomes a ball of web, which turns Wario into Ball o' String Wario if he touches the ball while it is floating, and he will roll out of the top of the tree. Anonster does not spit clumps of webs while there is a ball of web, which Wario can pick up if it is on the ground and stun Anonster by throwing the ball at it. After this, Anonster jumps to the floor and tries pouncing on Wario, and then crawl along the floor while spewing webs also capable of triggering Ball o' String Wario. If the web hits Wario or it spat webs twice on the ground, Anonster will jump up, but can be brought down by if a ball of web is thrown at it. Anonster can be properly damaged from Wario's Smash Attack on the circular pattern on its back if Anonster is on the ground, also changing the color of its pattern. Anonster spits out two and three clumps of webs in the second and third phases respectively while hanging near the ceiling, in addition to being faster. Anonster will be defeated after a third Smash Attack, and three web platforms will descend, allowing Wario to reach the Blue Chest with the last music box.
