Sparkle: Difference between revisions
m (Undo revision 4366777 by Sdman213 (talk) Please see the Sparkla Spirit page. I have thought through this, and it makes complete sense to me. Sparkle is what allows Peach to transform, and a Sparkla Spirit is simply a more powerful form of Sparkle. Stella's quotes throughout the game relating to this make it very clear. Also, emphasis on the "may".) |

First appearance | Princess Peach: Showtime! (2024) |
Sparkle is a power from Princess Peach: Showtime! Princess Peach receives this power from Stella, a Sparkle sprite and the Sparkle Theater's guardian, and makes use of it to stop Grape and the Sour Bunch, who took control of the Sparkle Theater. The power serves as Peach's primary form in the game.
In the first level of every play type, Peach starts in her base form, which allows her to use Sparkle. This power allows her to extend and use Stella's ribbon to interact with the environment, such as making things grow and cheering up Theets when they are despairing. She can also use it offensively on members of the Sour Bunch to make them flee. There are obstacles that she is unable to interact with using the ribbon alone, and require the level's transformation to interact with.
Theets can be cheered up by Sparkle if they feel down or too weak to handle a problem. They cannot, however, be cheered up if they feel scared by outside factors. In situations where two Theets feel too weak to handle a problem, only one of them needs to be cheered up by Sparkle in order to encourage both of them.
The color of the Sparkle move corresponds to the color of the ribbon that Stella is currently wearing.
Peach cannot use Sparkle in the Sparkle Theater's lobby, despite having Stella near her and no active transformations.
The boss fights on 1F through 4F has Peach use exclusively Sparkle with no transformations. In those boss levels, Sparkle is used only for attack purposes. Peach can also angle Sparkle upwards to attack the boss, which is something she cannot do in regular levels. Additionally, in the boss battles, Sparkle takes on a more sparkly aura when Peach uses it, and the color is always a light teal color no matter what color ribbon Stella is wearing.
When not using any transformations, Peach can slide down stair railings in the Sparkle Theater and The Castle of Thorns.
Sparkle's counterpart is Darkle. Darkle is what Grape uses to create the bosses of Sparkle Theater's first second, third, and fourth floors.
Quotes[edit]
Posing[edit]
Although Peach cannot pose with / while in Sparkle mode, she can pose on her own in special circumstances; for instance, when succeeding at the 3-flower forest section in The Castle of Thorns. Alternatively, the quotes can be heard in the pause menu, under Collection → Ensembles → Princess Peach.
- "Fantastic."
- "Lovely."
- "Nice."
Out of hearts[edit]
If Peach runs out of hearts, she sits down in Sparkle mode (regardless of transformations) for a few seconds, and utters a quote before returning to the start of the section or the previous checkpoint, including:
- "Oh, no."
- "No way."
- "Come on."
Entering doors of plays[edit]
- "Showtime."
- "Let's go."
- "Let's play."
At the beginning of a play[edit]
- "Peach time!"

Trivia[edit]
- Unique to the Blight of the Sea level, Mermaid Peach's singing voice has the same effect on motivating Theets who feel down as Sparkle.
- The transformation platform is also named Sparkle, as Stella refers to the platform as such in two levels where it is encountered: The Castle of Thorns and A Snow Flower on Ice.
