Drop Quiz is a 1-vs.-3 minigame appearing in Super Mario Party. The name is a pun on "pop quiz."
Introduction[edit]
The solo player waves at the screen. The camera then pans out to show all players waving. The team players then turn around to face the solo player's screen. The camera zooms in on said screen until only the solo player is in view.
Gameplay[edit]
The solo player shows a video on the monitor. The video shows an assortment of Toads and Koopa Paratroopas carrying various types of fruit. A Bullet Bill is also occasionally seen. After the video, the solo player chooses one of three drastically varying questions for the rivals to answer. The rivals must step on the panel corresponding to the question, and if they are wrong, any rivals that stepped on the incorrect answer fall through the floor and are out for the rest of the game. As each round progresses, the questions become harder. If the solo player eliminates all the rivals within three rounds, the solo player wins. If at least one of the rivals answers all the questions correctly, they win.
On Challenge Road, this is the second challenge of Ghostly Hollow and the 36th challenge overall, in which the player is part of the three-player team (the answerers). For the normal challenge, the three-player team must beat the rival under the normal rules. For the Master Challenge, the player themselves must answer all three questions correctly (failing at any point ends the challenge in a failure, even if their teammates are still standing).
Ending[edit]
If the solo player wins, the camera zooms in on the tree trunk they are standing on and the player does their winning animation. If the team players win, they do their winning animations on the podium, while the solo player does their losing animation on the tree trunk in the background.
