Star Coin Deep Dive, or Superstar Road-3, is third course of Superstar Road in New Super Luigi U. It is unlocked by collecting every Star Coin in Sparkling Waters.

Layout[edit]

The player starts in an outdoor area with several Spiny Cheep Cheeps below and a similar background and tileset to those of Haunted Cargo Hold. A Warp Pipe will take Luigi to an underwater section inside of a sunken ship. Multiple Pipes will appear, as well as a Cheep Chomp and a Blooper. Multiple Cheep Cheeps guard a barrage of coins and the first Star Coin. Many jet pipes will appear, pushing the second Star Coin. A Red Ring, a Blooper and more Pipes will appear. The third Star Coin is followed by multiple Pipes, some Bloopers and Spiny Cheep Cheeps. Afterwards is a Warp Pipe which takes the player back to the outdoor section and to the Goal Pole.

Star Coins[edit]

  • Star Coin 1: In the beginning of the underwater area, several Cheep Cheeps guard the Star Coin. The player must use Fireballs or a Star to access it.
  • Star Coin 2: After the first Star Coin, the jet pipes will push it around.
  • Star Coin 3: Just like the second Star Coin, jet pipes will push it around to the end of the level.

Luigi Sighting[edit]

  • A swimming 8-bit Luigi can be found by having the Cheep Chomp destroy the Brick Blocks under the Red Ring.
