Deepsea Stone-Eyes, or Soda Jungle-5, is the fifth course of Soda Jungle in New Super Luigi U. It is unlocked by completing Boo's Favorite Haunt. Completing the course normally leads back to the first point after Boo's Favorite Haunt, but completing the level via its secret exit reveals the true path through Soda Jungle and by extension Sumo Bro Bridge and Wiggler Floodlands.

Layout[edit]

The level starts in a jungle near a ? Block and a Stone-Eye with coins above it. A Warp Pipe is found nearby, and the coins move to form a line leading to it. The pipe leads underwater to an area with some Stone-Eyes and Fish Bones. A group of Fish Bones is found around a ? Block containing either a Super Mushroom or an Ice Flower depending on the player's current form. Two pairs of moving Stone-Eyes colliding with each other are found, along with another group of Fish Bones. More colliding Stone-Eyes are found, along with Fish Bones. After the last pair of Stone-Eyes, a Warp Pipe is found. Entering the pipe leads the player back outside, where they find the Goal Pole.

Star Coins[edit]

  • Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin is found behind a moving Stone-Eye at the beginning of the underwater area.
  • Star Coin 2: The second Star Coin is located beside a moving Stone-Eye. It must be collected before the Stone-Eye moves down, as it covers the Star Coin when it moves.
  • Star Coin 3: The last Star Coin is found in an area that can be entered through a hidden Warp Pipe next to the Stone-Eye that covers the second Star Coin. The Star Coin is found on top of a pixelated Luigi.

Secret exit[edit]

Instead of entering the first Warp Pipe, the player must get on top of the Stone-Eye to the far right of the first area and Ground Pound. This reveals a secret area which leads to the secret Goal Pole. This secret exit allows the player to proceed further in Soda Jungle.
