Variant of Theet

A baker[1] is a subcategory of Theets in Princess Peach: Showtime!. They wear chef uniforms and white gloves. They appear in in the three stages where Patissiere Peach is used by Peach, Welcome to the Festival of Sweets, Welcome to the Spooky Party and The Dark Baker & the Bewitching Sweets. They love to bake cookies and cakes and will jump and dance around when they help bake them while they feel safe.

They are heavily reliant on Patissiere Peach to do most of the on-screen baking for them, but they will gladly be assistants for her when she arrives. During cookie baking, if Peach picks special bowls that have two bakers next to them, the dough swirling will go much faster and can produce many more cookies than the regular bowls can, and the use of such special bowls is required for one of the Sparkle Gems each in the first two levels. In contrast they are shown on-screen as being bad at baking cookies on their own, with two partially swirled bowls in "Welcome to the Spooky Party" instantly exploding if Peach gets anywhere close to the bowls.

They also pull carts around that cookies can be stacked on, give advice during decorations, and are implied to have baked the very large cakes in advance that they tell Peach to decorate and to have baked a handful of cakes and sweets before Peach's arrival in "Welcome to the Spooky Party".

Welcome to the Festival of Sweets

Their planned titular festival runs into problems as Sour Bunch aviaries fly off with the cookies they had prepared, making the bakers rush to find any possible options to keep the festival schedule on time. Peach helps them at their small farm to harvest wheat grains and strawberries to try again, but as they head into the kitchen the bakers worry about where "the baker" in singular is, leading them to ask Peach for help instead.

After Peach becomes Patissiere Peach the bakers help her bake cookies, pull carts and decorate cakes in a hurry in time for the festival's opening ceremony.

Welcome to the Spooky Party

The bakery that Peach arrives to at the start of the stage is hosting a Halloween party where the bakers are giving away treats, including small cakes and tied-up batches of cookies that the bakers have baked before Peach's arrival.

After the Sour Bunch have corrupted the regular festival attendants who then proceed to munch on the cakes that the bakers had been planning to give away for free anyway, the bakers lead Peach to a backdoor to their bakery, where they try to hold back oncoming groups of corrupted Theets as Peach decorates cakes to keep them at bay, as well as during the cookie baking. Having successfully fenced off the corrupted Theets on both occasions, they and Peach head towards the center stage where they bake one last batch of cookies to cure all the remaining corrupted Theets.

The Dark Baker & the Bewitching Sweets

Two bakers appear in The Dark Baker & the Bewitching Sweets, where they can be found in the sub-area where the first Sparkle Gem is. They try to bake cookies for two hungry Theets but they overmix while baking and thus require Patissiere Peach's assistance. After Peach successfully bakes cookies to feed the hungry Theets, they joyfully celebrate.
