"Bowser's Castle" is a playable song in Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix. It is a remix of the music for the Mario Kart: Double Dash!! incarnation of Bowser's Castle.
The song appears as the final stage of Story Mode, Bowser Battle, soundtracking Mario or Luigi's contest with Bowser to get back all four Music Keys. Unlike most Story Mode dance-off opponents, Bowser does not behave like a second player. Instead, he can be seen dancing in the background of the song in all modes, standing on an elevated stage in the middle of the titular location.
This song's only Mush Mode gimmick is rockets, which are exclusive to it. Pieces of a rocket appear as notes, behaving normally until stepped on. When stepped on, they move to the bottom of the screen, to the side of the area where notes appear. Stepping on three rocket pieces assembles the full rocket, which will land next to Bowser, open its base to reveal a hammer, and hit Bowser over the head with it. When that action is done enough times, the rocket instead winds up for a full swing that smashes Bowser through the ceiling, creating a hole through which fireworks can be seen. This must occur by the end of the song to defeat Bowser; if it does not, the player will fail the song regardless of the state of their dance meter.
