Mathemortician is a 4-Player Mic minigame in Mario Party 7. Its name is a portmanteau of "mathematician," which is a person who deals with numbers, and "mortician," another word for "undertaker."

Introduction

The four players stand in a row in a dark, haunted area. The first player walks up to the cannon to take a turn.

Gameplay

Players must say numbers into the Mic to shoot at the Pink Boos that float by. If there is no Mic, the numbers are selected from a blue box. Regular Boos are worth one point, while those wearing crowns are worth three. The player(s) with the most points at the end of the minigame win(s).

Ending

The players stand in a row as winners do their victory animations and losers do their losing animations. If everyone has the same score, everyone celebrates. If nobody has points, they sulk instead.

Controls

  • Microphone – Say: "1," "2," "3," "4," "5," "6," "7," "8," "9"

In-game text

  • Rules"Say a number into the Mic to fire at that square. If you hit a Pink Boo, you'll earn points."
  • Advice"Pink Boos with crowns are worth 3 points! Hit them at all costs!"
