World 6-3 (Chapter 6-3 in Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic; titled Head for the Pyramid[1]) is the third level of World 6 in Super Mario Bros. 2.

Layout

There is a shortcut at the very beginning of the level that will take the player directly to Red Birdo. There is a wall to the left of the top of the ladder with quicksand underneath it. The player can use the quicksand to pass under the wall to reach a door on the other side, but must press the Jump Button(s) repeatedly to avoid losing a life.

The enemies of World 6-3 include Tweeters, Bob-Ombs, Ninjis, and a few Hoopsters; the environment is cave, desert, and sky. Before battling the boss of World 6, the player must defeat Red Birdo with a Mushroom Block and eggs.

In the NES original and Super Mario All-Stars remake, after Birdo is defeated, the player will enter a second fight with Tryclyde. In Super Mario Advance, the second Mouser, who is found in World 3-3 in the original, is fought instead. This level is notable in that no key is found in the fortress.

The outdoor areas take place in the daytime in the NES original, but at night in remakes. The cave entrance in the original resembles a mouth, as two indentations resembling eyes are cut just above it; in the remakes, the entrance is a cage with a Bob-Omb symbol on top.
