The article states that the lava on Chocolate Island is brown to fit the colour scheme, while I believe it's actually because of colour palette limitations. Does anyone agree? Magma[edit]
Shouldn't we call the lava that's underground magma? Or should we simply call them all lava?

- I think that magma is pretty much completely enclosed by earth, but lava is in the open, and that's how it is in all the Mario games. Yoshiwaker
If there's Lava, Goop and other ground obstacles articles, then why no quicksand article?

Molten rock[edit]
"Lava is, quite simply, molten rock, just like in real life." Just a thought, is it confirmed in any Mario games/other products? I know it doesn't really matter, and that it is supposed to be like in real life, but there is no evidence of this. Maybe we should write "Lava is a hazard than can defeat Mario if he touches it.", or something like that (and more well-written :D )

- That's a better way to write it. Besides, if it was really molten rock, it would burn Mario if Mario got close to it. It makes more sense if it's red acid. :P Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 23:36, 29 March 2013 (EDT)
Lava Enemies[edit]
Why are Fire Gobblegut and Fiery Dino Piranha listed as lava enemies? Even though they are fire-related and Fiery Dino Piranha appears in a level with a lot of lava in it, neither actually appear in lava. --TheFlameChomp (talk) 19:18, 14 February 2017 (EST)
Lava Geysers[edit]
To be honest, I feel like there should be an article for the Lava Geysers, because not only do we have articles for both Sand Geysers and Water Geysers, but Lava Geysers also appear in many more games than the other two mentioned objects. Should I create a proposal for this? LuigiMaster123 23:49, 2 September 2017 (EDT)
- Naaaah, just create the page if you want. Unless a previous proposal deleted it. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 23:53, 2 September 2017 (EDT)
- Page 162 of the Prima Guide for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (written by Joe Epstein, Garitt Rocha, and Alexander Musa) uses the name Lava Geysers. Use that as your citation and make the article. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 23:55, 2 September 2017 (EDT)
Water[edit]
There should be a page about water. There’s poison, lava, quicksand, and freezing water, so why not regular water? CBFan5 (talk) 21:27, May 11, 2020 (EDT)
- To answer your question, this is because the Super Mario Wiki estimates that Water is too generic for an article mentioned by these logs. I don't actually get how it is too generic but that's what SMWiki says.--Wikiboy10 (talk) 18:25, June 8, 2020 (EDT)
Oh ok. CBFan5 (talk) 17:49, June 11, 2020 (EDT)
