Barreling Along is a 4-Player minigame appearing in Super Mario Party. The name comes from the phrase "barreling along," meaning to move very quickly and perhaps uncontrollably.

Gameplay

The minigame is set in a forest. Players must move to the goal by using barrels by tilting their Joy-Con. Tall grass and water slow the players down, and Dash Panels provide temporary speed boosts. The first player to make it to the end wins.

On the Challenge Road, this is the first challenge of Ghostly Hollow and the 35th challenge overall. For the normal challenge, the player must reach the finish line first without touching the water. For the Master Challenge, the player must reach the goal first without touching any Dash Panels.

Controls

  • Joy-Con (L) / Joy-Con (R) (horizontal) – Move

In-game text

  • Race to the finish line!
  • Tilt Joy-Con forward to speed up.
  • Moving through tall grass and puddles will slow you down.
