The Paon Corporation, Ltd. is a video game company based in Tokyo, Japan. It was founded on January 20, 1999. It became a substantial company following the departure of Rare from Nintendo.
In Rare's absence, rights to work and build upon the Donkey Kong series were given to Paon. Thus far, they have presented fans with games such as DK Jungle Climber, Donkey Kong Barrel Blast, and DK: King of Swing.
Currently, the company is releasing games for the Wii Virtual Console.
