Article title
Is the name "Untitled Mario Film" used elsewhere or is it a conjectural name? If the latter, should we put a conjecture template on it? Nightwicked Bowser 16:11, September 24, 2021 (EDT)
- It's not really being used as a proper name, it's just the most accurate description we have for the subject. I wouldn't necessarily call this "conjectural". -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 16:56, September 24, 2021 (EDT)
- Yeah. "Untitled Mario movie" does not indulge in guesses, so I think marking it as conjectural would seem a little weird. By that token, though, shouldn't the similarly descriptive titles we give other subjects in the absence of official sources be exempt from that template as well? Where do we draw a hard line? -- KOOPA CON CARNE 17:29, September 24, 2021 (EDT)
Speculation by an IP with no sources
More Roles for all characters appeared in animated movie
All casts of all characters won't be incomplete. They have more roles of characters in animated film. Including Wario, Waluigi, Princess Daisy, Yoshi, Rosalina, Pauline, Toadette, King Boo, Goomba, Lakitu, Bowser Jr., Wiggler, Big Bully, Sidestepper, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Funky Kong, Spiny, Cheep Chomp, Thwomp, Koopalings (Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, & Ludwig), Koopa, etc.

- Do you have a source for this? Nightwicked Bowser 08:43, December 3, 2021 (EST)
- Did it also say if Monty Mole was in the movie or not? Also, what source did you even use like what Swallow said? MontyMoleLoreMaster (talk) 09:04, December 3, 2021 (EST)
Locations in animated movie
All locations at the animated film included Peach's Castle, Bowser's Castle, Plains, Luigi's Mansion, etc.

- Firstly, please sign your comments with four ~. Secondly, I asked in the section above where you are getting this information. Nightwicked Bowser 09:13, December 3, 2021 (EST)
Mario will appear as a balloon to advertise his upcoming movie.
Mario joins the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as a balloon. They have a hunch that Mario would appear as a balloon to advertise his upcoming movie. The lead character balloon for the 96th Annual Macy's Parade is Mario and was behind University of Missouri Marching Mizzou nor South Dakota State University Pride of the Dakotas Band at the beginning of the 96th Annual Macy's Parade.
The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.194.141.78 (talk).
- That's just baseless speculation and won't be included here. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 12:02, December 3, 2021 (EST)
Move
Shouldn't this be moved to Super Mario Bros. (Film 2023) because in Nintendo's most recent tweet about the movie (the one about it getting delayed) they call it the Super Mario Bros. Film and the Mario Movie from 1993 could be moved to Super Mario Bros. (Film 1993) and just the page Super Mario Bros. (Film) could be moved to Super Mario Bros. (Film) (disambiguation). I'manumber1 (talk) 14:53, April 30, 2022 (EDT)
- Let's wait for an official title before we talk about this, OK. DK Fan
Should I at least make Super Mario Bros (2023 Film) a redirect? I'manumber1 (talk) 17:50, May 11, 2022 (EDT)
Okay I've understood this before but now we pretty much have to. The Movie is under the name "Super Mario Bros. (2023)* on Roku TV search. It's tags read "Animated | Comedy | Adventure". It has the placeholder Roku image on it and the description reads "The further adventures of Mario and Luigi." This should be added to the article. I'manumber1 (talk) 18:28, June 1, 2022 (EDT)
Toys
The Mario Movie toys got leaked! Shouldn't that be mentioned in the article. I know that the wiki usually doesn't trust leaks (and I know they won't put the leak Nintendo dmca'd on reddit) because they could be fake but this has actual evidence. nintendolife.com/news/2022/02/the-upcoming-super-mario-movie-is-getting-its-own-range-of-toys I'manumber1 (talk) 18:24, May 12, 2022 (EDT)
Move to Super Mario Bros. (2023 Film)
Template:SettledTPP Template:ProposalOutcome Nintendo themselves have called the Mario Movie the "Super Mario Bros. Film" and on Roku search the movie goes under the name "Super Mario Bros. (2023)* therefore it should be moved to Super Mario Bros. (2023 Film).

Move
- I'manumber1 (talk) Per proposal.
Do Nothing
- DK Fan (talk) It's a placeholder.
- PanchamBro (talk) I can't trust what Roku thinks the title of this movie likely because it could be a placeholder title, nor can we know what Nintendo thinks is the title of this movie. Best to wait it out through official material instead.
- Hewer (talk) Per PanchamBro, we should wait until we have a definitively confirmed title.
- Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) - If it ends up changed, that's just extra work - what is the point?
- Swallow (talk) Roku doesn't seem like a valid source from what everyone else is saying.
- TheFlameChomp (talk) Per all.
- Ray Trace (talk) Per all.
- Sdman213 (talk) Per all.
Comments
"Film" shouldn't be capitalized in the identifier. -- Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 17:06, June 4, 2022 (EDT)
Where have Nintendo used that title? Nightwicked Bowser 17:10, June 4, 2022 (EDT)
When they tweeted about delaying the movie they said Super Mario Bros. Film. I'manumber1 (talk) 21:09, June 4, 2022 (EDT)
I told you, I think we should wait for an official title. DK Fan
On Roku Search it's called Super Mario Bros. (2023)* I'manumber1 (talk) 21:37, June 4, 2022 (EDT)
On Roku TVs. I'manumber1 (talk) 21:38, June 4, 2022 (EDT)
I think it's just a placeholder. DK Fan
Is Roku TV an authoritative source? I'm not seeing Wikipedia change the name either, but I can't say for sure if Wikipedia is the type that would immediately scour sources for these films. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 20:11, June 5, 2022 (EDT)
Confirmed title?
According to tomorrow's Nintendo Direct presentation, the video's title and thumbnail states the title "The Super Mario Bros. Movie". This is most likely the film's confirmed title, as Nintendo has not referred to it as this in the past. --NintendoFan08 (talk) 11:50, October 6, 2022 (EDT)
- Actually, it's since the time we discovered that Spike was voiced by Maniscalco that we know the title: he said "Super Mario Brothers movie". But let's wait till the actual title is published, since it might be just "Super Mario Bros." which will push us to fix all the links for the previous movie. -- Mariuigi Khed 16:06, October 5, 2022 (EDT)
- It's likely just the name of the presentation, since the official Universal page still labels it as untitled. Mario JC 07:35, October 6, 2022 (EDT)
it's been leaked, it is called The Super Mario Bros. Movie, there's a calender leaked and a logo was included with it. - YoYo (Talk) 11:40, October 6, 2022 (EDT)
- I wouldn't fully rely on leaks. There's supposed to be a presentation today so hopefully we'll have a proper title after that. Nightwicked Bowser 11:47, October 6, 2022 (EDT)
- I'd argue that the logo leak is definitely credible as a leak, but I don't think we should move the article now. No official source has come out for the movie's title yet. -- PanchamBro (talk • contributions) 13:20, October 6, 2022 (EDT)
The presentation is in a few hours so I think we should just wait until the name is official revealed in that. --Killer Moth (talk) 12:18, October 6, 2022 (EDT)
Looks like the confirmed title is: The Super Mario Bros. Movie --KoolKoopa (talk) 16:18, October 6, 2022 (EDT)
UK release date seemingly confirmed
On the official British Universal website, the film is listed as releasing in March. - YoYo (Talk) 16:41, October 6, 2022 (EDT)
- its also listed as April 27th, not April 28th, on the official Illumination upload of the trailer. - YoYo (Talk) 16:47, October 6, 2022 (EDT)
