The Big Bandit is a green-colored Bandit found in the Glitz Pit and Pit of 100 Trials. It differs from other Bandits in that it can steal items. The name derives from the term, "Big Boss," and Big Bandits are Bandit leaders, despite being the exact same size. If a Big Bandit steals one of Mario's items, the plumber only has one turn to defeat the thief and recover his item.

If you guard well when he charges at you, he'll blow by without stealing anything. If he robs you, you won't get your item back unless you beat him right then. He'll run!
