First appearance | Super Mario Land (1989) |
Switches[1] are objects appearing in Super Mario Land. They appear behind most bosses as an alternative way to defeat them. Rather than attack them directly, Mario may choose to simply evade the boss and use the switch just behind them to defeat them instead. Switches appear in World 1-3, World 2-3 and World 3-3. Occasionally, Mario must clear a path to the switch before he is able to activate it.
