Template:Minigame-infobox Bowser's Big Blast (originally stylized as BOWSER's Big Blast) is a Battle minigame in Mario Party 2 and a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party: The Top 100 and Mario Party Superstars.

Introduction

A Bowser bomb is screwed into place by a mechanical arm, and the camera zooms out. The four characters enter the room it is in and get in line (with the exception of the first player up to press a plunger) while the plungers appear. The minigame then begins.

Gameplay

Bowser's Big Blast from Mario Party: The Top 100
Mario Party: The Top 100 gameplay

This is a luck-based minigame. The players take turns pressing down the switches connected to a massive Bowser bomb. After a player presses a switch, the game decides whether they are safe or not. If steam comes out of the bomb's "nostrils," then the player is safe and moves to the end of the line. However, if the wrong switch is pressed, then the bomb's eyes will count down from three, eliminating the player when it explodes. The process repeats until there is only one player left, and that player is declared the winner. There are five switches in different colors: red, magenta, yellow, green, and white. Each time a player is eliminated, the number of switches will decrease by one until there are only three left. If everyone presses down a switch that does not set off the bomb, then a new set of switches will appear.

In Mario Party: The Top 100, the explosion of the bomb is more detailed. The characters also breathe a sigh of relief if the bomb does not explode or take cover if it does.

In Mario Party Superstars, the characters hold their breath after they choose a switch; if they choose a wrong switch, the bomb emits electricity and turns bright white when it explodes. It also takes a slightly longer time to explode compared to the original.[1]
